Being Wanted and Cared For
The daily press flooded the shelves and web on the latest scandal of Cora Vales' new revelation. Many media outlets were trying to reach out to the parties involved. The Montenegro's weren't affected even though Ava's name was mentioned in the multiple articles posted, but as always they did not let that issue get the best of them. However, the opposite could be said for the Solis' who were do absolutely anything to prevent from the story being released.
"What do you mean this can't be taken down?!" Carter Solis yelled to the person on his phone.
"Mr.Solis I can't do anything. Legally the publishers have every right to release this article on the basis of free-speech. It does not slander your name at all and it cannot be tried in court as defamation of character unless you have proof. Whoever released this knows what they're doing, meaning that they have lots of power, and money to release this to multiple media outlets. Also, whoever did release the article has intel on you and your family, they want something from you or someone within your immediate family." His lawyer said. "Also if you and your family play it off as if this is first time knowledge it won't affect Brandon's campaign run for mayoral office." A sigh of relief escaped Carter Solis.
Carter Solis couldn't do anything in his power, it was already online and even if he did try to remove the article from existence he knows that a new version would pop out somewhere else. His lawyer's words stuck with him, someone had intel on him or his family and would do anything to ruin the Solis name. This scared him because if someone did know something about him or his family what they would uncover would be very scary and would change the course of his life. After a phone call with his lawyer he began contemplating who knows his family the most, who has thee power and means to do all that and not get away with anything legal.
"Montenegro." He whispered as he sipped his whiskey he poured. The Montenegro's do have the money, power, and information to do that, but were they really involved? Regardless, that question lingered in his mind he knew exactly who to confront.

The meeting had concluded and a lot was done. Ava chose the theme for her wedding, the motif was done, and the designs for her wedding dress was chosen. Michael and Alvin felt as if the meeting wasn't even necessary, but Elena argued that it is necessary that the groom participate in the wedding planning. All they actually did was sit and listen for an hour as the wedding planner talked to mainly Elena and Ava.
"We're going to La Paris Cafe. Do you boys want to tag along?" Elena asked.
"No we're good. You ladies go ahead, I'll just have food delivered. Michael and I have a lot to discuss about my campaign and the article." Alvin said to his two lovely ladies as they waved goodbye walking out of the conference room. The conference room was quiet, a deadly quiet that meant some serious business. The two men looked at each other.
"Follow me to my office." Alvin said sternly. Michael can feel his anger though Alvin didn't show it. Michael remained quiet for he feared that any word he might say will upset the already angered man. The walk to the conference room to Alvin Montenegro's Office was a quick one, but to MIchael it had felt he had been walking for miles. He could feel the tension building and if there's one thing he learned from formally working with Raul Montenegro is that an angered Montenegro is a scary one. No one should ever disappoint or anger a Montenegro for he or she shall regret it.
Alvin locked the door of his office, leaving him and Michael alone together. The aura of the office was dark and scary. Michael wasn't able to conjure up any words and remain quiet and frozen. Alvin too was quiet, as he shuffled around his desk handing Michael a folder. Again, quiet as ever Michael grabbed the folder opening the contents. Inside were printouts of the articles about Cora's baby.
"I want an explanation." Alvin said with indignation.
Michael remained silent trying to think carefully about what he's going to say.
"I don't know what you know, but based on your tone of voice I think you know everything." Michael tried to say as calmly as he can trying to hide the fear in his voice.
"You're not as naive I thought you were. Yes I know everything from the scandal to the contract. I need an explanation now because tomorrow the press is going to interview Ava regarding the issue and her stand in this relationship. As for the contract, you signed will affect you immensely because, you did sign an agreement regarding the breach of contract and if you break this contract you're legally bound to pay the legal fees of processing this contract along with the signing bonus. Failure to pay would have to cause me to liquidate all your assets." Alvin said sternly as he read the contract.
"I honestly like you for my daughter. I know what your capabilities are and how you'll benefit my company. Your family sees you as a liability, but I don't. I see you as a fresh face that can change and move this company with the changing times. You're the only one I have given a contract like this and to hear that you want to break this contract, it hurts my feelings." Alvin was disappointed, his angered changed as he tried to hear what Michael had to say. He was curious to know Michael's explanation.
"Sorry Tito if I want to break the contract, but for the longest time I've felt like a puppet trying to prove myself to other people. In the long run I have forgotten about myself. After being with your family, I learned that I need to focus on myself and my goals. I want to provide to myself that I can do anything without the help of others." Michael explained to Alvin who was intently listening.
"I understand where you're coming from but you have proven so much from creating your own start-up from the ground up with your own money, you graduated college and obtained a bachelors and masters degree in business management all while working two jobs. You've proven all you can, now let me help you towards your goals because you worked hard to prove yourself. Don't break this contract it will help you get to your goals." Alvin explained. He really did see potential in Michael. he saw a bit of himself in him a young man trying to prove himself in this tough world. He felt Michael's struggle and wanted to help him in anyway. Michael didn't know what to say. For the first time he felt something he's been longing for, that sense of being wanted and cared for.
No one really knew about Carter Solis' second child Michael, it was mainly Brandon everyone ever talked about, but it wasn't until Alvin visited Reddington University for a business conference, he was a panelist, wehre he met Michael Solis, a 3rd Year business management major who was also in attendance for the conference. He was one of the few students that intrigued him. At that time he didn't know he was the son of his colleague Carter Solis. He only found out when he mentioned his name with Carter at a lunch meeting with him. Since then Alvin has been keeping tabs on Michael.
"Now tell me about this scandal..." Alvin said.
