No Worries

"I still can't believe a man like you is going to be tied down." Renlie said taking a sip of his beer. Michael was at a bar with a few of his college friends the day after word spread of his engagement. "Yeah, I never knew the lone wolf would ever tie himself down. This girl must be really good in bed if she can manage to tie you down." His friend Skai laughed as he clanked beer glasses with Renlie. The two were in disbelief from the news they heard. "So what about Cora? You're going to have a baby with her?" Skai asked his friend with curiosity. "I have nothing to worry about. The kid isn't mine anyways. Plus I knew she never loved me she just pitied me." Michael scoffed as he drank his whiskey. "Wow! The Oscar for best actor goes to none other than Michael Solis." Renlie sarcastically said as he smirked at his friend. "So tell me what makes Ava Montenegro special besides her infamous last name. She is a nobody despite carrying he name of her father and grandfather  and the many other ancestors before her." Skai asked. He knew Michael very well. He wasn't he type to take life seriously. He was more of the careless go with the flow type. He never wanted a woman to tie him down. So this made the guy curious as to why he wants to suddenly get married. "Her fortune is what makes her special. Once we get married I get a stipend of $250k and every month after that I get $500k." He explained to the guys who were listening intently to the young man. "I need her money. That's why I agreed to marry her and I made that very clear to her, the good thing about it, is that we both have no intentions of falling for each other." He places a big grin on his face. "Her father is willing to double the money if she can bear a child within six months after we're married. All I have to do is charm her and win her heart. She's young and innocent so I won't have a problem with her." He smirked. Skai looked at him with uneasy glares.

"She's still a woman, you should at least respect her. Why would her father do such a thing like that to her? Don't you remember what happened to Sarah after she found out she was suppose to be in an arranged marriage?" Michael's mood suddenly changed at the sound of Sarah's name. Sarah was his younger sister and was a few years younger than him. He never liked hearing his sisters name after everything that happened. "Don't you dare put my late sister's name into this situation." He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist to avoid lashing out on his friend.

"We all know what happened. It's you who can't move on and accept it. That's why you chose to not give a crap about woman, you claim they're weak and useless when in reality you feel like you're weak and useless because you couldn't do anything to prevent Sarah from doing what she did to herself." Skai proclaimed, Sarah didn't deserve everything that happened to her, but for love we are willing to do anything and everything especially to get rid of the pain.

"Her family is the reason why Sarah is gone. By marrying their pride and joy and heir to their fortune I can get revenge for what her family did to my sister." He said filled with anger.

"What does Ava have to do with this?! You're mad at her parents and grandfather. She's completely oblivious and innocent in all this. She doesn't deserve any of this!" Skai retorted to his friend.

"Well Sarah didn't deserved what happened to her but yet she still suffered." He argued. "I want her to know just how evil her family is, especially that mother of hers." He took his whiskey straight and walked out of the bar.

"What are we going to do with him?" Skai asked Renlie who was deep in thought.

"Let's not interfere with his personal life problems anymore. He's old enough to handle his own problems. You remember he last time we helped him?" Renlie said to Skai as he sipped his beer one last time.

"Yes we ended up in jail overnight for saving him and he practically went crazy." The guys tried to brush off the thought of Michael and his wild behavior.

"Do you think he's using again?" Renlie asked.

"I don't know. It doesn't look like it." Skai said with uncertainty.
