Is it that obvious?
"It's going to be alright Ava." He assured to her. "Remember, whatever happens here, stays between the two of us." Ava nodded as she walked to the door.
She carefully grabbed the doorknob as all the nerves ran through her body. She quickly glimpsed at Michael who smiled at her relieving all her anxiety. Her hands shaking as she slightly turns the locks of the door.
The door revealed as lethargic Brandon, his hair disheveled, and his dress shirt short of a button. It had looked like he was in a rush. "Sorry I'm late." He said to Ava as he planted a small kiss on her forehead.
"Stop overreacting you are only five minutes late. It's not like you are late an hour. Then we will have problems, but five minutes isn't a big deal. So stop worrying." She said nonchalantly at Brandon who sighed with relief. "Plus, it's rush hour on the freeway, so I can't blame you for being five minutes late. Honestly I was expecting you to come in half an hour." Brandon smiled because despite Ava being punctual she was very forgiving and considerate about the the people and world around her.
"So let me finish packing the last of my things and we can go. You owe me pancakes for leaving me here with your annoying brother." Ava playfully said to Brandon as she walked into the room. He nodded and made his way to the loveseat, patiently waiting for Ava.
Ava closed the bedroom door quietly behind her. As she walked in to the bedroom to collect her things, a freshly clean Michael walk out of the connecting bathroom, with a towel wrapped around his waist as beads of water was still running down his chest. Her face was flushed with embarrassment seeing the half naked man.
"I'm sorry I didn't know you took a shower. I'm just going to get my things and leave." Ava said not looking directly at Michael.
"Don't be embarrassed. You've seen all of me and will be seeing all of me once we get married. Anyways, get home safe Ava." Michael giggled as he approached Ava, planting a small kiss to her hair. This sent jolts to Ava whose face was still flushed with embarrassment.
"Ava are you okay? Do you need help getting your stuff?" Ava's face of embarrassment turned into a look of worry when she heard a knock on the bedroom door. Michael didn't say a word.
"Yes I am okay B. Just making sure everything is all here. I will be out in a second." Ava said loudly. Michael wrapped his arms around Ava. "I'll see you in the office later. Your dad wants to meet with us." He said to her as she took her things.
As Ava walked out, Michael peeked out from the little opening Ava had left. Brandon had fixed his shirt and his hair was not as disheveled as it was earlier. His arm was around Ava's shoulders while his other hand was holding her bag. He watched the two go out the penthouse door.
He went back to the room to change. When he finished changing he took his phone on the side table from where it was charging and opened the chat box of his previous conversation.
"Oh Ava you're going to make me a rich man." Michael said to himself as he was putting in his clothes and watching Ava and Brandon walkout of the hotel and on to the hotels pick zone. The penthouse suite had a view of the hotel's entrance.
Ava and Brandon got to the entrance of the Onyx Hotel and stood at the round about.
"Where's your car B?" Ava asked with confusion.
"It's back at home. I called Miguel to fetch us." Brandon said signaling to the black Audi R8 approaching them. He opened the door for Ava and escorted her in before entering himself.
"Salutations Miss Montenegro. It's good to see you again!" The driver said tipping his hat at Ava.
"Likewise, Miguel. It has been a while since I have seen you. How is your wife and daughter?" Ava asked calmly.
The car ride back to the Montenegro residence was a smooth one. But once Ava got out of the car her anxiety came back.
"You look nervous A." Brandon said in worry to her as he can see her tremble.
"Is it that obvious?" She said with rhetoric.
"Don't be nervous. Everything is going to be alright. Your dad knows that you and Michael were together last night so don't worry about anything." Ava's began to worry even more which startled Brandon because he never seen Ava that anxious before.
"B! Why did you tell my dad that me and Michael were together?" She cried.
"I didn't know that this will affect you like that. If I'd known you'd react this way I shouldn't of said that. I'm sorry A." He said to her trying to comfort Ava.
"Your dad called me last night asking where you were and I couldn't lie to him A. We all know how he gets if he is lied too." Ava didn't respond but she slowly wiped her tears. She understood where Brandon was coming from. She definitely knows her father's personality and she can't blame Brandon for telling the truth.
"If you want, I'll go with you inside. If thats alright with you?" He asks her.
"That would be nice. Thanks B." Ava said with less worry.
"I'm not going to go with you inside and chill. I'm just going to escort you inside, bid by hellos and goodbyes because I have to be at city hall in an hour." Brandon added as Ava nodded and the two walked to the foot of the Montenegro residence.
