The Solis Family

If you thought the Montenegro Family was powerful, you may not have met the Solis Family. The are the second most powerful family right under, of course, the Montenegro's but for years the two families have fought for the dominant spot. That was until, Edgar Solis, father of now vice mayor Carter Solis, died of a stroke during his last campaign route. Upon his death the Montenegro Family and the Solis Family set all there differences aside now they work together. But that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't a grudge being held between both families against each other. Despite there settled differences the Solis and Montenegro's don't always see eye to eye.

But they both know that the Union between Ava and Michael will for sure lock in power for their family. They will do whatever it takes to keep their power. Even if it means having to play dirty.

The whole arrange marriage between Michael and Ava was discussed since Ava turned 16. It was a two year process, originally wanting Brandon to her suitor. But Alvin wanted Michael while Carter thought Brandon was fit for his friend's daughter.

"Isn't it our goal, to get rid of my father Carter? How are we going to do that if Brandon marries Ava? Michael is currently my father's next target because he turned his offer down and my father hates rejection. So we need to save your son and this is the only way." He said to his best friend who was wearing a worried look on his face. He knew his son would hate him for this, but he needed to be safe.

"Vin, if this is the only way to protect Mike, then I am giving you my full permission."

"I guess it's settled, Ava once she's of age will be a Solis and our families will become one. My father definitely won't expect this." An evil smile formed on his face. For years Alvin Montenegro wanted to see his father rot in prison. He watched as innocent people's lives were taken and how families were separated and affected by the cruel actions of his father. He also wanted to avenge the death of his mother. Whom, his father was responsible for. He never trusted his father and he knows what great lengths his father would go to in order to achieve immense power.

"Both my sons will hate me for this, but I'll do anything just to protect them." The two friends shared a bottle of bourbon.
