Everyone's sleeping in the living room. Maya can't sleep, she gets up and heads outside. The bench. The bench that she used to sit with Riley and Farkle when they were younger. She smiles a little as she remembers the good times, then sits down on it. Lucas comes out after Maya sits down.
Lucas - Hey
Maya - Hi
Lucas - Can't sleep?
Maya shakes her head no
Lucas - Me neither. I keep having these nightmares.
Maya - I keep thinking that I'm just going to walk into a room, and she'll be there. Smiling at me, being Riley.
Lucas - You seriously didn't know?
Maya - About Mark, about everything, no.
Lucas - I never got to tell her.
Maya - Stop.
Lucas - I wish I would have told her how I felt sooner. Maybe things would have been different.
Maya - Stop it. You are going to tell her, she is coming back. Do not act like she's dead or something, she's coming back.
Farkles walks in
Farkle - 75% of children that are abducted are dead within the first 6 hours. It's been 24 hours.
Lucas - We did not want to know that Farkle.
Maya - That may be true but that is not Riley. She is alive and okay, I can feel it.
Silence
Farkle - How do we react?
Lucas - It's hard to have hope when the person who's best at it, is gone.
Farkle sits next to Maya. Lucas, Farkle, Maya. They all lean on eachother, and end up falling asleep. At least they were together and safe.
