Hiccup's POV

I was sleeping peacefully in my bed, hoping to finally sleep in for once. I would not get my wish. I was so very rudely awakened by a giant snowball flying into my window and landing on my face. I groggily got up and walked over to my window. I looked outside and saw Astrid laughing her head off.

"Well good morning to you too." I said.

With most of the dragons gone to lay their eggs, Snoggletog had become more of a time to have fun in the snow, like snowballs and snow-dragons. The dragons always made it back for the celebration, but Berk was mostly a dragon-free place for the holidays.

I quickly put on some warmer clothes and swiftly jumped out the window and into the powder. Astrid's expression quickly changed into one of fear as she darted off. I scooped up as much snow as I could and chased after her, laughing maniacally. I finally caught up with her and she witnessed what happens when you throw a snowball at a Haddock. She was quickly pummeled with the powdery spheres. I chased her all the way to the plaza, waking up everyone who lived nearby with our laughter.

"Ha! You may have the aim and the force of the Haddocks, but you always miss the element of surprise!" Astrid laughed as she popped up behind me and tackled me.

I used my one free hand to scoop up a bunch of snow and shove it into her face. In her confusion, I was able to squirm out from under her and run off before she knew what was happening. But when she figured out what had happened, I could tell that she was pissed.

Astrid's POV

I chased after that little sneak. I chased him all the way past the great hall, past Sven's farm, all over Berk. I finally caught up with him at the cove when his metal leg slipped on the ice and he slid down onto the frozen lake. He lay there on his back. Unmoving. I slowly walked up to him. He didn't seem to be breathing.

"No! Hiccup! You-You can't die! You're only twenty! No!" I cried, my eyes welling up.

I was suddenly met with another snowball to the face. He was alive after all, he was only faking it. I was really pissed now.

"Nobody fools a Hofferson and gets away with it!" I screamed as I started chasing the little sneak around the cove.

"Oh yeah? But what if I do this?" Hiccup said as he ran towards me, took me in his arms, and hoisted me onto his back and ran back to the village.

"HICCUP! Put me down!" I laughed.

"Nope!" he said.

Hiccup finally put me down when we got behind his house.

"My turn!" I said as I hoisted the pretty light Hiccup onto my back and ran around.

"Not fair!" he laughed.

He wrenched his way out of my grip and onto the ground. He swiftly got up and tackled me this time. He then started to tickle me. I laughed even harder.

"No!"I laughed.  "Not...my...weakness!"

Hiccup finally stopped and we stood up and brushed ourselves off. I punched him in the arm.

"Ow! What was that for-ohh, I see." Hiccup said with a sly smile right before he pulled me in for a kiss.

"Beaten at my own game." I laughed.
