Astrid sighed audibly as she followed Hiccup through the woods. "Hiccup, you know we're not supposed to leave the cabins without telling the counselors." she said sternly as her fellow CIT pushed branches out of the way.
"Yeah, I know, but you really need to see this." Hiccup said, not looking back at Astrid.
"Hiccup, we've already gotten in trouble for sneaking out once, and I'd rather not go through that again." Astrid said, rolling her eyes.
Hiccup snickered. "Oh, don't worry, we won't get in trouble."
Astrid raised an eye brow and rolled her eyes. After around five minutes of climbing over and through various plants and trees, the pair finally stopped at a curtain of vines. Astrid stared at it questioningly.
"Is this what you wanted to show me? Because I don't think it's worth the risk if getting in trouble with our counselors." she said, crossing her arms.
Hiccup laughed. "Not exactly, follow me." he said before disappearing behind the vines.
Astrid sighed and reluctantly followed. Once through the tunnel, Astrid gasped at the sight before her.
She was standing before a small cove. Fireflies provided a gentle light, illuminating a small waterfall that fed into a pond. In the middle of it all was an old oak tree that housed a small swing.
"Beautiful, huh?" Hiccup asked with a smirk.
Astrid nodded, her jaw nearly touching the ground.
Hiccup walked over to the swing and gestured for Astrid to come over as well.
(A/N) Sorry guys, but I can't keep writing this. Can't really think of anything, and I've lost my will to write about Hiccstrid. Really sorry. For a full explanation, go read the latest chapter in Basically a Public Diary. Thank you.
