Berk couldn't be any hotter. And it didn't help that tons of fireworms were flying over the island for the day. But thankfully, the ocean was still cold. So, most of the vikings were spending the day in the water. All except for Hiccup. As the chief, and the dragon master, he was stuck trying to keep the fireworms from burning down the village. He had been up in the sky all day, and even Toothless was getting hot. Pretty much every part of Hiccup was drenched in sweat. Hiccup was miserable.

"Why can't I get a break?!" Hiccup cried to the sky of fireworms.

"It's called taking responsibility." Gobber said as he flew up next to Hiccup.

"I know, but I can't even have the slightest break?" Hiccup asked.

Gobber sighed. "That's why I'm here, you deserve a break, and you're friends miss you, I'll take fireworm duty for the rest of the day." Gobber smiled.

"Yes! Thank you thank you thank you!" Hiccup yelled as he darted off.

"You might also wanna ditch the sweat-drenched flight suit!" Gobber yelled back.

"Noted!"

Astrid's POV

I was hanging out in the water. I was miserably hot, even in the water. Thankfully, Snotlout was over me, and wasn't trying to flirt with me, but instead was trying to woo Ruffnut, who was gawking at a shirtless Eret. Fishlegs was clinging to a piece of driftwood, and Tuffnut was trying to prank nearly everyone.

Thankfully, the village seamstress had made these articles of clothing out of leather that she called bathing suits so that we didn't have to bathe nude or completely clothed. Even though the leather was slightly uncomfortable, I was thankful for them. But I was bored. It was too hot to do anything but swim around water. I wished Hiccup was here, but those darn fireworms just had to show up on the hottest day of the year.

I was about to retreat back to my house when I heard a yell from the sky.

"GERONIMO!"

Before I could move out of the way, I was clobbered by  a firm, but light mass that I could recognize anywhere, anytime.

"Wait! Hiccup remember that you can't swim very well!" I yelled before diving down after him.

I had to close my eyes because the salt water stung them. I grabbed Hiccup's hand and swam up to the surface.

"Hiccup! You know you're not the best swimmer!" I yelled once we broke surface.

"Hey! I changed my leg out for the fin!" Hiccup said once he broke surface as well.

I turned around to face Hiccup, my jaw dropped. He was shirtless.

"Astrid, what's wrong?" Hiccup asked once he noticed my expression.

I stayed silent. I'd never seen Hiccup without a tunic before.

"Ohh, I see what's going on." Hiccup smirked. "In case you haven't noticed, my eyes are up here."

"Ha, ha, very funny, Hiccup. How else do you expect other people to react to you, the talking fishbone without a tunic! I mean, come on!" I yelled.

"Yeah, I guess five years of dragon riding did good for me."

"Ya think?"

"Oh, please, you like me like this." Hiccup said with a sly grin.

"I never said I didn't."

"But you also never said you did."

"But I do like you like this." I said with a sly grin.

"I need some proof."

"What I kind of proof?"

"This kind of proof." Hiccup said before kissing me.

"I like that kind of proof." I said.

Hiccup smiled
