Chester

"My University is no fun, mom. I'll transfer." sabi ko.

"Transfer to where?" she asked me.

"Ang layo ko pa kasi, mi. Pwede namang doon na lang kung saan ako nag elementary at highschool."

"Anong no fun sinasabi mo, kuya? Eh halos gabi gabi nga lumalabas ka kasama mga friends mo." masama ko namang tiningnan ang kapatid kong babae. Inirapan niya naman ako.

"I want to transfer, okay?" my 2 years being a college is so damn boring!

"Talk to your dad." mommy said.

Here we go again.

"You know what's the answer, mom. Dad always says yes to me." sabay kindat ko sa nanay ko. She shook her head and turned her back to me.

Like what I've said, dad said yes. Wala naman akong masamang intention para magpalit ng school. It's still educational after all.

"Seriously? Sayang bro! Magiging team captain ka na ng team!" sabi ng ka teammate ko sa football.

I shook my head. "You can do better without me." sabi ko kahit hindi naman sigurado. I am the best player of my team. Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang pero ganyan na rin.

I missed my alma matter. Enrollment pa lang ng nakita ako ng mga kaibigan ko. They are my friends since I was in grade school.

"Oy kalaban!" sigaw ni Kevin. I shook my head at him.

Ilang beses na kasing nagkalaban ang team namin sa football at siyempre talo sila. They should be glad that I transferred here, so that we gonna beat those assholes. Ha!

"Akala ko nagbibiro ka lang na lilipat ka dito." sabi ni Manny.

"Boring nga dun."

"Dude, you can have all the girls you want there! You have the best team! You have everything there!" dagdag ni Manny.

"Kaya nga? Ayaw ko na na sa akin ang lahat." sabay ngisi ko. Binatokan naman ako nilang dalawa.

Magkaiba ang college departments naming tatlo. Kevin is taking Accountancy and he is on the Business Department, Manny's taking Computer Engineering so he is in Engineering and Technology Dept, while I am taking Architectural so I am in the Arts and Sciences department.

While taking my subjects, one girl took my attention.

"Si Zoe oh..." turo ni Kevin.

She was laughing with her friends.

"Tawagin mo. Kamustahin mo." Manny nudged me.

I stared at her. Her hair became short. The last time I saw her when we were in highschool and she is my favorite target. Napakapikon kasi at ang cute niya mainis. My mother before told me that I like that Zoe because I am always getting her attention so I proved her wrong- I went to the different school starting my college days but then... I came back here. Oh well...

I love how some of our subjects were the same and we're classmates. May iba kasi akong kailangan pang kunin dahil hindi credited sa kinuha ko noon.

"....We're not friends either..." my jaw clenched.

We can't be friends? We will never be friends?

Wow. Just fucking wow! Since I was in grade school all I did was bully her so that she can recognize me. Damn it. Halos lahat gawin ko para mapansin niya ako tapos hindi pa rin kami friends?! Ano ba ang level para maging kaibigan niya dapat? I have everything! How come she is still choosy?! Ganyan ba kataas standards niya? Fuck that standards. I can climb and reach that shit!
