Ritsu could not believe what Mimi was telling her. "I can't believe that pig hit you. I knew he was no good and I have a good mind to punch him and tell him what an ass he really is," Ritsu said gritting her teeth.

"There really is no need Ritsu. I truly believe Hatori did not do it on purpose and he regrets what he did deeply. When I came back from Shigure's Hatori really did make an effort to fix things. Unfortunately it only lasted a month." Mimi smiled then walked into the water until her knees were covered and said "Besides I'm over it now. What would be the point? I'm leaving him."

"Wait, shouldn't it be him moving out, I mean you own that damn house don't you? Why the hell should you leave," Ritsu said she thought Hatori was getting off lightly.

"Yeah it was my birthday present and Hatori put the house in my name, and to answer your question I don't want it. All I want are my clothes, books, computer, car and anime. Oh and my jewellery, the rest can burn for all I care."

"I can't believe you don't want to take him to the cleaners. I would if I was in your position."

"Honestly what would that accomplish? It's not like I'm going to be homeless. I've got a place to stay and the rest is just material crap I really don't care about," Mimi replied. It was like a huge weight had been lifted off of her and she could finally breath again.

Ritsu gave Mimi a hug and said "I'm so proud of you."

The next day everyone was supposed to go on a boat trip; but Mimi wasn't feeling well and decided not to go. Unfortunately this had a knock on effect and in the end the only ones that went on the boat trip were Motoko, her husband and kids and Takashi. Hatori planted himself by the pool and read the news paper and Ritsu had business calls to make and was in the house.

Mimi decided a walk would do her good and Shigure came along to keep her company. The beach house was sounded by woods and Shigure took Mimi on one of the many paths that lead into them.

"You look a lot happier Mimi. What's changed?" Shigure asked when they got far enough into the wood that they could no longer see the house.

Mimi smiled and said "Well, I have made a really big decision." Mimi stopped along the path.

Shigure was intrigued "Are you going to tell me then?"

Mimi grabbed Shigure and said "I m leaving Hatori."

Shigure couldn't believe what he was hearing and wasn't sure he heard right.

"The minute I get back to Tokyo I'm packing up my clothes and a few other things and I'm leaving. It does mean I am going to need a place to stay through." Mimi grinned as she said this.

Shigure scooped Mimi up into his arms gave her a kiss and said. "Of course you can stay with me." He kissed Mimi again, "I never thought this day would come. I had been hoping and wishing but hey, better late than never, right." He twirled Mimi again and kissed her.

Mimi was happy as well, she felt freer than she had been in a long time. "Yeah better late than never," As soon as Mimi said this it triggered something in her mind and a serious expression took hold over her face.

The sudden change in Mimi's face caused Shigure to stop twirling her around and set her down. "What's wrong?" Shigure asked concerned.

Mimi thought for a minute longer then gasped "God no," and ran off towards the house. As soon as Mimi saw the house she started to shout "Ritsu! Ritsu!"
