They walked from room to room everything had been taken even the beds and linen. As they walked into the empty master bedroom Yoshi asked "How much do you have to live off of because you're going to have to buy more things; the basics at the very least?"

"Honestly I don't care about Hatori taking everything. It was just crap, so please don't get all worked up, it's not worth it. I am not worried. I can sell my jewellery if I need to." Mimi said walking to the closet.

Mimi tried with all her might not to cry in front of Yoshi when she saw all of her jewellery and a lot of her designer clothes, shoes and hand bags were gone. "I can't believe that bastard took it." Mimi said when she went to the back of the closet to find the box that had all of Isamu's keepsakes in it.

This was the breaking point and Mimi started to tear up. Yoshi could tell Mimi was about to lose it and gave her a hug and said "I can't believe he took your clothes and jewellery."

"I don't care about that Yoshi, I never did. Hatori took the box will all of Isamu's stuff in it. He could have at least left me something that was in there." Mimi said making a fist and dug her nails into her hands so the pain would help force herself to hold it together.

They walked back down stairs and Mimi said "Yoshi please don't worry I have fifty thousand yen."

"That's not going to last you to the end of the month!'' Yoshi said tears welling up in his eyes.

"If I have to I will sell my rings. There's about ten carats of diamonds between the two and their platinum. If I need more I'll sell my Miyazaki cells." Mimi answered in a lifeless voice.

"But you love those cells, you said you would rather die then let anything happen to those." Yoshi said he could tell that he had to tread lightly because Mimi was on the edge but he did not know how.

"That's why I said I would sell my wedding rings first. Look it was a shitty thing for Hatori to do but it's done. It is just stuff at the end of the day. I promise you I will be fine." Mimi paused then said "And don't you dare try and give me any money. You just bought a house and you are broke as well.''

Mimi showed Yoshi to the door then said "It's lucky this house is in my name or he probably would have locked me out and sold the damn thing." Mimi joked trying to show Yoshi she was ok.

After Yoshi left Mimi walked into the kitchen and opened the cupboards and the fridge to see what was there. They hadn't taken the food but they took most of the plates, cups, and cutlery, Mimi shook her head then walked into her office then shut and locked the door and put a chair under the doorknob and lay down on her sofa and pulled the blanket that was hanging on the back of it over her and cried herself to sleep.

When Yoshi got home he franticly called Shigure. "You won't believe what that bastard has gone and done to Mimi." Yoshi said when Shigure answered.

Shigure sighed and said "What is it this time?"

"Mimi was attacked and while she was in hospital..." Yoshi started but was cut off.

"Hold on one minute.'" Shigure shouted "What do you mean Mimi was attacked and was in hospital. Did Hatori hurt her?" Shigure was getting agitated. "Why didn't you call me when it happened!"

"First calm down. It's a long story so just listen to me I will start at the beginning," Yoshi said he knew that he should have started this way first but he got carried away.

Then Yoshi said as calmly as he could, "Okay Hatori walked out on Mimi. It turns out he's been cheating on her for years. He is now with his mistress. Then someone attacked Mimi and beat her up and cut her badly. Mimi spent two days in hospital. If that wasn't bad enough Hatori has left her with no money and taken everything out of the house. He even took her jewellery and most of her clothes. Mimi had to use what money she had to pay for the hospital bills.''

"I want to know who hurt Mimi Yoshihiro," Shigure said trying to hold the anxiety back.

"Look, don't get all worked up. I can't tell you, she made me promise. If you want to know you are going to have to ask her. There is more but I don't know if I should tell you." The moment Yoshi said it he wished he had kept his mouth shut.

"No! No! No, you can't go and say that and expect me to stay calm. Aburaki just tell me." Shigure shouted down the phone.

"When I found Mimi she was unconscious and lying in a pool of her own blood and her clothes had been ripped off." Yoshi said hesitantly because he knew this would cause Shigure pain.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying, was she raped?'' Shigure said gripping the phone.

"Look the reason I didn't want to tell you now is because we can't be one hundred percent sure she wasn't. But Mimi's quite sure the guy didn't." Yoshi knew this explanation was not going to help and would only make Shigure even angrier but it was all he could say.

"I want to know his name Aburaki and I want to know now damn it!" Shigure growled over the phone.

"Shigure you're my best friend so believe me when I tell you you're going to have to ask Mimi." Yoshi answered holding his ground.

"Fine" Shigure relented "I am stuck in the middle of nowhere and it will take a week to get back to an airport. I will sort out Hatori in the meantime so please keep an eye on Mimi and make sure she's ok."

"I've got to go down there every day to help her change her bandages." Yoshi replied relieved that Shigure stopped pressing him for answers.

When Shigure got off the phone with Yoshi he immediately, called Hatori.

"What the hell is wrong is with you." Shigure said unsuccessfully trying to hold back his anger when Hatori answered.

"Hello to you too Shigure. I was wondering how long it was going to take until you called." Hatori replied sarcastically.

"How could you do that to your wife?" Shigure said gritting his teeth and tried to calm himself down because he wanted answers and knew shouting may make him feel better but it was only going to annoy Hatori and get him nowhere.

"It's been a long time coming. Don't think by you calling me it's going to get me to go back." Hatori said sure that Shigure was only sticking his nose in to try and get him to go back to Mimi.

"You are a bastard." Shigure spat he could feel himself getting angrier at Hatori's cold heart. "I wouldn't dream of telling you to go back; she's too good for you. What I am saying is how could you take all of her money and everything out of the house?"

"All of it is mine and I don't see why I have to leave her anything." Hatori said coldly. He was getting tired of this conversation and wanted to end it.

Shigure could tell he was getting nowhere so he decided to ask Hatori straight out, "Let me ask you this then. What did you think when you saw broken glass and blood all over the floor. You must have known she was hurt and yet you still cancelled her insurance?"

"I figured she cut herself throwing a tantrum breaking stuff," Hatori replied coldly again.

Shigure could not believe his cousin's indifference and lost his composer as he shouted, "YOU are heartless. Your wife was violently attacked and had to spend two days in hospital.'"

Hatori did not want to hear anymore and quickly replied, "So what. I'm sure it is not as bad as she is making it out to be, and honestly it's not my problem anymore."

''You really are a heartless bastard Hatori." Shigure repeated because he could not believe how lightly Hatori was taking this, "but I really thought you were better than this. If you don't put all the money back and return everything back to the house I will get the family involved."

"Go ahead and get the family involved I really don't care." Hatori said determined to put an end to the conversation.

"The next time I see you I'm going to punch you Hatori" Shigure said then hung up the phone and immediately called Chojiro and explained what was happening. Shigure decided to leave out the most disturbing details because he did not think Mimi would want him to know.
