Mimi spent most of the day crying in Hatori's arms and by the time the sun set Mimi had managed to pull herself together and stop crying. Mimi got up and walked into the kitchen and said "Thank you Hatori. Why don't you let me cook you dinner as a way to say thanks for lending me your shoulder to cry on."

"You know I could cook if you're not up to it." Hatori said following Mimi into the kitchen.

Mimi turned around and bumped into Hatori. Then she laughed and said "I don't have a lot in, I have needed to go shopping for the past two days now so I really don't know what there is I can whip up and your cooking skills are still nonexistent aren't they."

"Fair enough, then why don't I go and get some take out then," Hatori said.

Mimi smiled then said "No, just give me five minutes and I will get changed then we can go out shopping."

Mimi hurried upstairs to change. When Mimi got to her bedroom she sat on the bed and stared out the window. She had lost track of all time and didn't realise it until Hatori came in and knelt down in front of her and said "If you're not up to going out I don't mind eating instant ramen, I found some in the cupboards."

Mimi looked down at Hatori and he reached up and wiped her tears away with his hand. Mimi grabbed his hand and held it to her cheek then said "Thank you Hatori," then she let his hand drop and walked over to the closet, and got changed.

The weather was very warm for spring and they decided to walk along the seafront before they went shopping. As they walked along the sea front Hatori stopped and said "This brings back memories don't you think."

Mimi looked out at the ocean and remembered their second date then said, "Yeah it does doesn't it, but that seems like a lifetime ago." Mimi looked down and said softly to herself, "There's a lot I would do differently if I could go back and do it again."

Hatori took Mimi's hand and said, "All of us would like to do things differently but just because we can't go back doesn't mean we can't start over again."

Mimi looked at Hatori and she knew what he was asking. The love she felt for him was still there but she didn't know if she could give them another chance. So much had happened between them and there was still a lot of pain and regret there.

Mimi freed her hand from Hatori's and said "We should go buy some things for dinner and get back otherwise we won't be eating before ten at this rate."

Hatori wanted to say something else but he could tell Mimi wasn't ready, so he quietly followed Mimi to the store.

As they entered the store Mimi asked "So what would you like for dinner."

Hatori instantly said "Ebichiri and anko nabe. You know I always loved how you cooked those."

"I knew you were going to request that. I don't know why I bothered asking." Mimi replied remembering the amount of times Hatori asked her to cook those dishes for him.

As they walked down the aisles Hatori kept grabbing things and putting them into the trolley, by the time they got to the check out the trolley was full.

Mimi shook her head as she was putting the shopping on the checkout counter. "When is the last time you did any food shopping yourself Hatori and I am not talking about convenience store foods."

"I can't remember. Tanaka-san does all of that stuff for me. Why?" Hatori answered.

Mimi smiled, then said "Because you're just like a child grabbing at all the stuff you want and putting it in the trolley. You do know I don't eat most of this junk you put in here."

"Its tasty and you should try it," Hatori replied.

Mimi reached out and patted Hatori's stomach then said "You're not in your twenties any more, you keep eating all this junk and you're going to get fat. I'm surprised Tanaka-san gets any of this. She was always a stickler for making you eat healthy."

"I'll have you know I still work out and besides Tanaka-san doesn't get any of this for me. She says the same things as you," Hatori replied.

Mimi laughed "Fine but you are going to take this junk back with you."
