Shigure was waiting for her as Mimi left the bathroom. "As you can see I've met someone else and I'm moving on and so what is it that you came here for?" Shigure said annoyed.

Mimi looked down and grabbed her chest where her heart was in pain, as if she was holding onto the knife he had just plunged into it, then she looked back up at Shigure and answered, "Look, if I had known I wouldn't have come. I just came to say I was so stupid that day and I have regretted letting you leave ever since. I promise I won't make any trouble for you Shigure." It was taking everything Mimi had to keep herself composed and stop herself from crying.

Shigure looked at Mimi then said coldly "Still not willing to rock the boat. Well can't say I expected anything else from you, always willing to do whatever you think everyone else wants never willing to do what you want." Mimi couldn't tell if this was Shigure's way of telling Mimi to make a scene and fight for him or if he was telling her to back off and continue being coward.

When Mimi walked back into the living room Misato said "Your timing is perfect I've just finished making dinner so why don't you join us."

As Mimi sat at the dinner table and forced herself to put on a happy facade she could not stop herself from asking even though she knew that is was going to upset her, "Fuyutsuki-san how did you and Shigure meet?"

Misato perked up when Mimi asked her this as she loved telling the story and happily replied, "I work at a magazine that Shi-chan has been writing for when he is not working on one of his many books. Shi-chan and I have known each other for some time now. I was doing my editor a favour by collecting Shi-chan's overdue work and we got to talking and just hit it off. That was just before Christmas and we have been inseparable ever since."

Mimi nearly choked on the food in her mouth and tried to hide it by putting on a fake smile and managed to say, "That's really nice to hear. I'm happy for the two of you." Mimi couldn't take it anymore she had to leave before she broke down "I am so happy that I got to meet you Fuyutsuki-san. I'm sorry to just eat and run but I really have to get going."

"Oh what a shame. Are you sure you can't stay any longer?" Misato said giving her a pouty face like a puppy trying to get its owner to play with it look, then turning to Shigure and giving him the same look in order to try to get him to persuade him to make Mimi stay longer.

This just made Mimi want to slap Misato and scream "grow up you God damn child." Instead Mimi managed to chew back her disgust and broken heart and said in a very dignified way, "No I'm really sorry. I have to meet another friend and as it is I'm going to be late. It's my fault for having lost track of the time, but thank you so much for dinner and it was so good to meet you."

Mimi stood up and walked to the door. When Mimi put her shoes on she turned and said, "Thank you for having me. It really was nice to meet you Fuyutsuki-san. See you around Shigure." Mimi then left and drove back to the hotel. When she got to her room Mimi threw herself on the bed and started to cry.

"I take it things didn't go so well," Suzi asked. She was still sitting on the sofa that was by the window.

Mimi reached over and grabbed the box of tissues and wiped her eyes with one then said, "No, things went crappy Suzi and that's sugar coating it. Did you read the letter?"

"Yeah I read it." Suzi replied and looked out the window and Suzi couldn't help but think "leave it to my big sis to be so damn pigheaded even beyond the grave."

Mimi tried to pull herself together "Suzi your sister loved you; Erika didn't want you to have to go through what she was going though."

"I can see that by this letter but why give it to me now. I've broken things off with him." Suzi replied then took a deep breath filling her lungs with air until it hurt and held it for a moment then let all the air out in one big puff and tossed the letter on the table that was in front of her. Suzi then stood up and walked over to the window and looked out of it.

"Have you really," Mimi said in a sarcastic voice and sat up. "You should know I have been keeping an eye on you Suzi Williams. Having boat loads of cash has not brought me happiness but it sure does make it easy to hire people to spy on others." Mimi said trying to lighten the mood.

"So you have been spying on me. Fine, truth be told I'm not completely over him but I'm getting there. Your spies should have told you I met someone else." Suzi replied.

Mimi walked over to the window and stood next to Suzi and gave a look that said "not buying it" then looked out at the city and said, "So I may not have been spying on you but even I can see you're still hung up on Komuro-san. You need to let Komuro-san go completely and move on."

"I've always loved it up here. Suzi I just don't want you to make the same mistake, your sister and I made" Mimi turned and looked at Suzi "I mean take me for example. I just couldn't let go of Hatori even though I knew I truly loved Shigure. Even your sister tried to knock some sense into me before she died. Now look at me. I am a pathetic woman who will be thirty in August and has chased not one but two men that love me away," Mimi laughed at her own stupidity. "It took me seven years to open my eyes and realise Shigure is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, and now he has moved on and found a younger model."

"I am sorry for you Mimi but what does it have to do with me," Suzi said not wanting to sound careless but also not wanting the lecture.

"It has everything to do with you Suzi. Erika asked me to look after you and I haven't done my job. I know we talk on the phone but I should have been there for you physically as well. All Erika wanted was for you to be happy. I know you know she was seeing a married man." Mimi said dragging Suzi away from the window and back over to sit on the bed.

"Yeah, so," Suzi replied still not wanting to analyze her own life at the moment.

"So!" Mimi said annoyed with Suzi but also being able to relate to Suzi's current frame of mind, of not wanting to completely let go and truly move on, because she too had been there way too many times. "Erika put her life on hold for that jerk, she knew he was never going to leave his wife but Erika loved him so much. She was willing to put up with only having the man she loved a quarter of the time. It tore her up inside and when she finally got up the will to end it with him it only lasted two months. Then she took him back, I watched her heart break each time he went back to his wife."

"Look you really don't have to tell me, I know how she felt but unlike her I have ended it." Suzi answered.
