...June a year and a half later...
Mimi stood in front of the main house in Mito wearing beautiful blush silk-chiffon dress that had structured off-the-shoulder cap sleeves that were elasticised and had a structured pleated bodice with an empire waist and a layered skirt with a cascading train and was holding a bouquet of pink and white roses. "I can't believe I'm here again," Mimi said handing Ritsu the flowers, "And on top of that I feel so uncomfortable."
Ritsu replied "You were given the option of postponing this wedding until you had the baby." Ritsu let the train of her heavy kimono drop then she reached out and rubbed Mimi's belly and giggled, "The baby moved. I love it when it does that.''
Mimi smiled then said, "This baby loves you Auntie Ritsu. Besides I know how much you have always wanted to be a June bride and I didn't want to ruin it for you."
Ritsu gave Mimi a hug then said "I know, and thank you for everything."
Shigure walked up behind Mimi and wrapped his arms around her and gave her a kiss. "How are my two favourite people and the bride to be doing?"
Mimi rested her head back against Shigure's shoulder and said "I am ready to pop. Where on earth is the groom? I know he likes to look perfect but if he takes any longer we are going to be late."
"Then it's a good thing I'm here." Hatori said as he joined them.
"You know Mimi has a point. You do spend an awful lot of time looking at yourself in the mirror," Motoko said joking.
"Keep that up and you can walk to the temple," Hatori' replied.
The whole family gathered to get the pictures taken in front of the main house. When it was over, Ritsu's dad walked over to Mimi and said "I don't know how you did it but thank you for bringing those two together. I have never seen my daughter as happy as she is now."
"I've never seen Hatori as happy as he's been with Ritsu," Mimi said. "There really is no need to thank me otou-san. I just set them up on three dates that by all accounts went disastrously wrong."
