_________
// Kara Danvers \\For two weeks, I stared at the same wall. I stared out the same window, yearning to see what was beyond that foot by foot hole into the outside world.
I watched as the sun rose and set, following the same pattern. I learned how many cracks were in the ceiling. I memorized the sound of the heater in the guard's quarters, the amount of footsteps that walked by each day. It was all I could do; all I had to entertain myself.
I learned so much useless information to keep the pain from my chest from striking.
But now I didn't have to.
All the information I had soaked in while I was held at Cadmus slipped from my mind as I stared at Mon-El and Alex in front of me.
"Oh my gosh," I mumbled.
I ran at full speed, jumping into their arms. Mon-El's hand went straight to my hair, holding my head on his shoulder as if he was convincing himself it was actually me. Alex put her nose in my hair, using all her might to squeeze me. I had both my arms around them, my head in between their shirts. I sniffled, taking in their scent.
I was finally home.

After calming everyone down and getting more transport trucks, all of the alien prisoners were released back to National City.
Winn, Alex, and Mon-El made me sit in the van the whole time-- "resting," as they called it. I hastily disagreed, wanting to help everyone. But instead, Mon-El sat down next to me, pulling me back on to the seat if I tried to stand up.
I sometimes wish my boyfriend didn't have nearly equal strength as me.
So when we arrived back to the DEO, and Alex insisted on checking me into the med bay for further analysis and monitoring, I was pretty pissed.
"What do you mean I haven't been cleared?" I scoffed, sitting forward on the med bed. "I'm fine."
J'onn, Alex, Mon-El, Winn, and James were with me, all standing around the room.
"We know," Alex sighed. "But you've gone two weeks without proper meals and hydration. We just want to make sure your recovery goes smoothly."
"But I'm healthy," I argued. "I'll drink some Gatorade and have some potstickers, and pow, I'm all healed and ready to get back in my super suit."
