__________ // Kara Danvers \\
"Alex?" I breathe into my comm, a hushed whisper echoing across the crowd of people who were a part of the strike team. "We're at location."
"I'm alerting J'onn now," Alex announces. "Prepare to engage."
The agents behind us quietly put their weapons in position, the click of their guns causing me to wince. Mon-El glanced at me, an assuring look in his eye. We were standing outside the barn, staring at the door. It'd been nearly an hour since word of T'ayy's location had been found, and we were all anxious to get her back.
"I've never met this girl," Mon-El mumbled. "I only ever saw her on the screen when she called us in Cadmus. Is she nice?"
"I mean, I've only had a few conversations with her," I sighed. "I was isolated for the majority of the time I was at Cadmus, but she helped us escape. . .and Jacob seemed to fall pretty hard for her."
"I still don't know if I trust that guy," Mon-El grumbled.
"Oh please," I jokingly punched his shoulder. "You know you can."
"Okay," He smiled. "I trust you, so I guess I have no choice but to trust him."
"Supergirl," J'onn's voice crackled to life over the comms. "Ready?"
"Ready," I respond.
"Engage," He orders.
I used all my strength to lift my leg and pound it against the door. It appeared to be wood, but the force that I took to kick it open showed that it was metal. The agents walked in first, beginning to routinely check the space for any prisoners. I gasped, putting my hands to my mouth.
There were cages lined along the wall, aliens all clinging to the wire doors. Mon-El turned to me, unsure of what to do.
"They're here," I spoke into my comm. "I'm going to start releasing them."
"Stand down," J'onn shouts. "We don't know if any of them are a threat. Find T'ayy, and get out. We'll free the rest of them after further investigation."
I bit my lip. I knew J'onn was right, but I didn't want to leave the aliens locked up. Mon-El touched my shoulder. He believed in me.
"Will they be taken care of?" I asked. "Get food, clothing, warmth? While you're investigating?"
