_____________ // Kara Danvers \\
It was multiple hours after Alex and Maggie had arrived, and we were all sitting on the floor, eating the last of our food. I was one-hundred percent sure that Alex was drunk.
"My girlfriend is cute," Alex kept exclaiming. "Look at her hair! It's so...flowy..." Maggie laughed nervously.
"You're cute too," Maggie laughed, squeezing Alex's arm. I picked up her beer bottle, and put it behind me.
"You've had enough to drink," I giggled.
"Probably," Alex sighed. She reached for the bottle, which was out of reach. "I wish I had your metabolism."
"We all do, babe," Maggie scoffed. "I should probably get her home."
"Aww," Mon-El huffed. "This was fun."
"We really should do it more often," I added.
"Obviously," Maggie smiled. "Maybe in public, though, so this one won't..." She pointed towards Alex, who was giggling.
"You're so pretty," She squeaked. "I love my girlfriend."
"And your girlfriend loves you," Maggie responds. "Honey, why don't we get going?"
"I don't wanna leave," Alex groaned. "But I also have cake at home."
"The cake is calling your name," Mon-El quirked.
"I can hear it," Alex looked up at the ceiling. She turned her eyes towards Maggie. "Cute girlfriend, we have to go. The cake is screaming."
"Sounds good, Alex," Maggie smiled.
"Thank you for coming over," I laughed. I hugged Maggie.
"We definitely need to do this more often," Maggie agreed to my comment from earlier. "Maybe with less alcohol, though."
"Sounds like a plan," Mon-El chuckled.
"Come on," Maggie mutters, as she wrapped her arm around Alex. They began to walk towards the door. "Bye, you two."
"Bye!" Mon-El and I chorused.
The door shut behind them. I sighed, turning towards the food on the floor. I collapsed down, and grabbed another slice of pizza.
"Time to eat leftovers!" I exclaimed. "Want any potstickers?"
"I don't know that there are any left!" Mon-El laughed. "I think you ate them all."
"Oh," I blushed. "Pizza, then?"
"Sure," He decided, flopping down on to the couch next to me.
"I love food," I sighed. "It never disappoints me."
"Two things never disappoint me," Mon-El said. "You, and food."
"Pshhh," I scoffed. "That's—that's nice, I guess."
"Yeah?" Mon-El teased. "You wanna watch a movie? Watch another season of Grey's Anatomy?"
"I'm in more of a Vampire Diaries mood," I admit. "Let's watch that. I must watch more Delena, season three."
"But I wanna watch a Steroline episode," He whined.
"But Delena," I stated. "My OTP."
"Okay, okay," Mon-El laughed. "How about we watch season four. It has both."
"Deal," I finalize. "I'll grab the ice cream."
"Pizza and ice cream," He sighed. "Will there be cuddling?"
"Mon-El, my darling Daxamite," I mumbled. "There will always be cuddling."
I hopped up off the couch, and made my way towards the fridge. I put my hands into the cold box, feeling around the the ice cream. I came in contact with the carton. I grabbed it, and made my way back to my boyfriend.
I collapsed, and leaned against his side. Mon-El wrapped his arm around my shoulders. This allowed me to put my head on his arm. I sighed into him.
"This is happening every night," I clued him in. "If you're going to live with me and help pay the bills, we cuddle every night."
"Is that how Earth deals work?" Mon-El asked. "That's weird."
"Anything for cuddles," I quipped.
The flickering light of the tv cast across our dark loft. The sound of the speakers became muffled as I rubbed my nose into his shirt. Warmth overtook me, and I allowed my eyes to slip shut.
I could hear his heartbeat through the thing fabric. It was steady. I could hear him falling asleep as well.
Mon-El's breaths, once shallow, became deeper as he allowed himself to be swept into sleep. I enjoyed glancing at his peaceful, sleeping face.
I then allowed myself to fall asleep, knowing I was both safe and happy next to him.
