"Good morning, my beautiful, sexy, intelligent, hilarious, talented, and strong girlfriend," Mon-El quipped as he walked into my apartment. The heavy door closed behind him. "I have not only brought you a shower of compliments, but also, a dozen breakfast sandwiches."

He held a tan bag, proudly, above his head. Mon-El grinned, and set them down next to me. He pecked my head, sitting down on the chair next to me.

"Thanks," I mumbled.

I was sitting at my kitchen table, surrounded by envelopes. In each envelope, sat a bill or some sort of tax I had to pay. This lead to me slamming my hands on the table, yelling,"Hell to Rao!"

"Should I have gotten donuts instead?" Mon-El whispered.

"No, no, it's not that," I sighed. "I have so many bills to pay."

"So pay them," Mon-El states. "Isn't that how it works?"

"It is," I say,"but I have to have money to pay the bills. I do not have any money, because I no longer have a job."

"Ohh," He hummed. "I see."

I put my hand to my forehead and pushed my hair behind my ears. I sighed, closing my eyes. I was stressed beyond belief.

"That damn job was my one save," I groaned. "And I screwed it up."

"You didn't screw it up!" Mon-El exclaimed. He took a breakfast sandwich from the bag. "That man was impolite, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and most importantly, incorrect. He didn't give you the job because he was a dick."

"Yeah, okay," I mumbled. "But knowing all that doesn't help the fact that I don't have enough money to pay my taxes."

"Well, why don't I just pay them?" He offered. "I have more than enough money. The alien bar pays well, and I don't have to pay anything to live at the DEO. I literally have nothing to pay for other than clothes."

"You have to live here to pay the bills," I argued. "It won't work."

There was a moment of silence. He stood up, and turned to me, putting his hands on my shoulders. I could feel myself crinkle as I stared at him.

"Why don't I just live here then?" Mon-El whispered.

"Wh–what?" I stuttered. The blood pounded behind my ears after hearing his proposition.

"Why don't I just move in?" He repeated. "I spent most nights here anyway. You need help with your bills. I hate spending time apart. If I move in, I could help you."

The gears in my head began to turn. I wanted more than anything to live with him, but I wasn't sure of the future. What if he had ever been injured, or worse? I'd have to come home to an empty apartment, which was something I didn't want to have to deal with. Having my duties– my responsibilities– as Supergirl meant not knowing how my life was going to turn out.

All I knew was that I wanted Mon-El in it.

"I don't know." I shrugged. "It's a big step. And I definitely feel that way about you, but–"

"All those times I said that I can't lose you," Mon-El interrupted me. "All those times I said that I can't live without you– I meant it. And now it means that I literally can't live in a building without you."

"You're so sweet, you know that?" I said. "I've never met a man as passionate as you are."

"You are my passion," He smirked. "And my passion makes me want to live with you."

My previous thoughts began to melt away at the sound of his pleads. I wanted so badly to live with him. My heart was racing as I made my decision, mentally. I was ignoring my brain, and following my heart.

I smiled at him, resting my chin in my hands. I took a sharp breath in.

"Mon-El of Daxam, my sweet boyfriend, the bread to my butter, will you please move in with me?" I teased.

"Of course, my amazing girlfriend, the wood to my flower," He replied.

"The wood to my flower?" I laughed. "That makes no sense."

"Don't flowers grow on plants?" Mon-El asked. "Trees are made of wood, so flowers are on wood."

"You're adorable," I muttered, grabbing his face. We kissed for a moment.

I enjoyed the savory taste of his lips. A tingle went down my spine, and I pulled away.

"I suppose I have a new roommate, don't I?" I smiled.

"I guess you do," He responds.

"Oh, and rent is due today," I added. "I have bills and taxes to pay."

"Sounds good, babe."
