I GOT A CHILDISH HUSBAND

Chapter 1

Mekari's POV

Time's ticking. It's almost dawn and I haven't lived in this room since morning, I got tons of papers to do. Life is pain surely weak will never survive.

"Milady?" I heard someone faintly speak. I never raised my head and just continued doing my business.

One of our maids entered my office, I knew what she wanted but I remained blank and waited for her words not minding to ask about it. My head aches every time I remember Grandpa. He always tells me about getting married as soon as possible just because he wants to see his grandchildren before he dies, then who cares? Being in a relationship is hard for me I don't know how to deal with and handle cringe stuff it would only be a waste of time and considering my situation, nah.

I remain silent but her whimper annoys the sh*t out of me.

I raise my head to look at her and it seems like she's trembling in fear, I smirk as she bows her head even more. I have a lot of strict rules in this house, glad she remembers those and seems like she knows her place.

"You--r gran--dfa--ther is-- her --milady!" She said stammering while her eyes on the floor.

Oooh!

Poor kitten she fears me that much, ha. I look at her existence blankly so that she knows how unfortunate and stupid she is, she immediately exits her presence in my room trembling. More like running to save her life from death.

Good for her. I fixed my papers and started heading downstairs.

And there I see my grandpa in his expensive suit while casually sipping his favorite tea just like what he always does every time he visits my place.

What does he want right now?

His face lightened up when he saw me walking down the stairs, I greeted him and kissed his cheek. I may be cold but I love my grandpa more than anything in this f*ck up world and he is the only family I have right now, the reason why I can't resist his stubbornness and tantrums.

"Princess, I miss you! How are you, my princess?" He exaggeratedly exclaimed while his arms were wide open.

Then he hugged me as if he didn't see me for how many years? I already had an idea why this old man came in a sudden, so I looked at him blankly as I could. He only replied to me with a genuine smile. At the back of my mind, I can't help but roll my eyes.

"What do you want?" I asked directly while making my way and sat on the sofa.

His smile faded away and started to look uncomfortably. I patiently waited for his answer, when he finally found the words to say. He fakes a cough and then starts to murmur his stupid wishes.

"Where could be the day you'll go to have a husband? I want to see my little prince and princess who will greet me with hugs and kisses every time I visit you. You need to get married soon, that's final and you must find one." After that, he walks away without even saying a single word of goodbye.

That old man "Tsk!" with a deep sigh, still looking at my grandpa's back who rudely walked away just like he always does. He doesn't even think of the life I have right now to hasten me on getting married to someone. What does he think of marriage as a piece of candy he's asking me to have one as if I could find someone on the street that easily.

Speaking of, having a family would be hard especially if we talk about their safety. Yeah, I can protect them if I'm going to have one but I'm still not ready for some circumstances that might occur and there are many things that might going to happen if they live in my world and experience the life I have right now.

I needed fresh air to breathe so I decided to give myself peace of mind. I get my car keys and choose one of my favorite Mustangs then drive to my secret place.

I gently sat on the grass and watched how the lake was full of flowers, fishes, stones, etc. in front of me. This place never fails to amaze me, it also helps you to breathe and feel relaxed. Nature gives me this kind of chill that I couldn't get in the city. I look in the sky above me and see the sun smiling at me. Kidding, I shake my head in disbelief. Why would the sun smile at you idiot?

I let out a sigh and recall what Grandpa told me, he is so persistent about me getting married without considering the situation I'm in. Tsk! Such a hard-headed man and my guns knew that I couldn't resist that old man right, so I reached for my phone and hit a call on my right hand. She immediately responds. I always want my personnel to be attentive, especially those assigned to first command. The mafia world is a bomb to weaklings.

"Yes, milady?" She answered.

"I want you to hire someone I can marry A.S.A.P.!" I said directly without having a second thought on the word I blurted.

After that, I hung up the phone not letting her say a single reply. So I continue on looking at the surroundings. When suddenly I heard a small sound coming from the bushes behind me. I moved my head to the side to confirm that it was nothing but still the plants kept on shaking, tsk. I get my gun and aim it at the unknown creatures still moving behind those bushes. It would be impossible if it's one of my enemies because I am the only person who knows this place.

Oh, I forgot, I'm not the only person in this goddamn world.

Suddenly, it stops moving but with curiosity, I walk myself closer to it. In a snap, I moved the plant to the side. I'm more surprised to see a man holding, wait, is that a fucking butterfly we're both shocked and just look at each other for a moment.

He has messy hair, and his shirt is smudged, with some leaves and dirt all over his body it's like he's trying to catch something and I think those butterflies his holding right now are the reason.

He had this beautiful pair of green eyes and a face like a baby which I found cute, we stared at each other for a second but still, I remained blank when he started to scan my face maybe out of his curiosity. Then we're interrupted by a sudden sound of disturbance, tsk.

Oh yeah, just my phone I took it out of my pocket and I ended it without minding the caller. I don't give a damn. I was in a moment of killing someone but when I looked up again the man was already gone, without leaving any traces. Lucky for him to escape away from me or he'll end up bloody lying on the ground helplessly.

I left the place quietly and immediately returned to my car. I started the engine, completely leaving my existence in that area. Fixing my eyes in front of me I can't help but be bothered by the man I accidentally meet.

"Tsk!" In frustration, I opened my phone and started a call.

"Yes, queen?" He answered on the other line.

"Search for my location! Look for the nearest camera and find a gu---" I wasn't able to finish what I was about to say when coincidently he appeared in front of me. I mean outside not that far from me.

It's him.

"Queen—" I throw the phone away while my eyes never leave his sight. In an instant, I stopped the car opened the door, and tried to run for him.

My body suddenly stopped without coordinating with what my mind wanted. A sudden realization hit me like a bucket of ice poured directly into my face. I freeze from where I stand.

"Tsk. What I am doing? Hold yourself, woman." I whispered to myself while clenching my fist.

After that, I return quietly to my car and head for home.
