Mekari's POV

It's 1 in the morning, yet the people outside didn't even bother to put themselves to sleep. The noises, coming from different corners, it's been hours and they're still loud. This idiot beside me is sleeping like a newborn baby, so peaceful and unbothered. I raised myself from the small bed the two of us lay on, it's a bit small but we're comfortable enough.

I take small steps towards the window, sliding the curtains a bit to see outside. The alley is still filled with neighbors continuing to do their business the same as when we arrived at this place.

Well, I guess it's not bad to roam around the area.

Kinuha ko sa loob ng bag ang isang makapal na hoodie ng itlog, kulay army green. Hindi na ako nagbihis pa ng damit at isinapaw ko na lang ang hoodie sa suot kong nightie. Then I wore the white shoes that Amanda brought along with the other things I told her to bring.

Before, I leave the room, naglakad muna ako papunta sa natutulog na itlog, kailangan ko pa palitan ng unan para hindi siya magising, as he was hugging me tightly.

I plant a kiss on his forehead and grab the phone that this idiot named keypad.

I let out a small chuckle upon remembering that, he seems so serious and troubled at the same time when I'm not familiar with it. I honestly don't know what he was talking about. Mahina kong sina rado ang pinto, I also locked the door for his safety, I'll just use the window when I return later.

Now, I stand on top of the roof of this apartment. I can see a wide range of this place in this spot. I looked down to check the alley below. As I returned the phone inside the pocket of this hoodie, I heard faint steps heading my way.

"Speak," I muttered coldly, as I didn't leave my sight below.

"All are cleared, Queen." She reported, referring to the job of killing the enemy who followed Zack and me a while ago when we headed to this place.

"Identification?"

"It seems that they are the same group who abducted your husband before in that party, Queen." She formally replied.

That man won't stop.

"What about those in the Amusement Park, Deeya?" I questioned, that's one of the main reasons I bought the place for us so they can take it down without implicating the innocent.

"Assassins." She simply answered. I moved my body to see her for a second, showing my displeasure.

"Tsk." I reacted as I turned my back on her.

Mahina akong napahilot sa sentido ko. It seems like they're just waiting for us to be in public places to carry out an attack. Probably from bosses who were still furious about them not getting my hand for marriage, news spread out about my husband's identity made them confident.

"Must come from a different country, I already have Amanda analyze those men," Deeya added when I remained quiet.

"Have your men clean that mess."

"Copy, Queen."

"Guard him. Bring Lyla with you, I'll return before the sun rises." I ordered. Well, Lyla takes off her child-like personality when she's working, so she won't get into an argument with that idiot.

"Roger that!" She formally replied before bowing herself. We parted ways as I jumped into the dark alley, and Deeya leaped at the back part of the apartment.
