I'd give anything to see color again. I'd also give anything to give my beating heart an actual reason to beat.

Now, about the colors. I'm not exactly color blind. I'm blind to love. Yeah, cliche, I know. With the amount of people who have broken my heart made it impossible for me to see love. And the world was built with love so, I cant see a single color.

Despite my many heartbreaks, there is this one guy I like. I don't know if he likes me back, though. We talk and hang out a lot and I cant build up enough confidence to see if he feels the same.

"Ashton! Wait up!"

I look back over my shoulder. Oh, it's him. I turn my head away, my ponytail flicking me as I do so. He catches up to me and slows to my pace.

"Ashton." He nods.
"Lex." I nod back.
"How are you on this dreary day?"
"Hey! I like rain."
"Okay, okay."

I laugh, then all of a sudden, I get the sudden desire to tell him how I feel.

"Lex, I want to tell you something."

Oh no. He stops and turns towards me.

"I... I like you, a lot and I hope you feel the same way."

His probably blue eyes search mine.

"Ashton, I like you a lot as a friend. Don't get me wrong! You're amazing and super nice..."

I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I cry out and fall to the floor. Lex bends over me, looking alarmed. Another spear of pain jabs my chest. Color then flashes across my vision. I was right, his eyes are blue. One last shot of pain to my heart and everything fades away.
