I've had a crush on the schools drummer for years now. He's just so dreamy. Brown hair and forest green eyes. Tall and lean he is. His drumming skill are perfection and he makes the whole high school band so much better.

I sit and watch the band practice for their on coming concert. Colton hits the symbols, signaling the end of the song. I clap along with the few others who watch on their free period. The bell rings so, I pack up my stuff and head into the hallway.

For weeks I've been planning to tell Colton how I feel about him and I've decided that today is the day. I lean against the wall and read. Colton comes out of the band room. His eyes lock with mine. He looks around then, beckons me into an empty classroom.

He closes and locks the door. Colton turns towards me and flashes me a dazzling grin.

"Hey, Aura." He greets casually.
"Hi, Colton." I say politely.

He takes his drum sticks out and bounces them against his thigh.

"Did you need something?" I ask.
"Yeah, I do."
"What is it, then?"
"Can you do me a favor and put your books down?"
"Yeah, of course."

I set my books down on a desk and turn back towards him. He stands and holds one drum stick in each hand.

"Now, keep your eyes on me and try not to scream."

Officer Bines

I pull up to the God forsaken school. So many messed up things have gone down here at Infinity High. It's crazy. I train my eyes on the ambulance who park out front. I park and jump out of my car.

"Where am I going?" I speak into my ear piece as I tie up my curly locks.
"Nearest classroom to the band room." Someone informs me.
"Great."

I jog into the building, flashing my badge at the shaken principal. He nods and points to where I'm going. Walking into the band hall, I pull out my gun and walk through silently. Everything is silent.

I peer into classrooms along the way. Nothing there. I reach the end of the hall and find paramedics in the last room. Glancing inside, I see the most horrible sight. A girl with black hair and blue eyes lay on the ground. Drum sticks stick out from her neck and chest. I gasp and the paramedics turn towards me.

"Where did he go?" I demand, consoling myself.
"Think he ran into the band room." One answers before going back to handling the poor girl.

I give a curt nod and creep into the band room. I hear a quiet tune. Drums play a nice rhythm. I peek inside to see a boy sitting behind a drum set. Bloody hands grip two new drum sticks.

"Hands up!" I yell.

     He looks up, startled.

"Hands behind your head and get down on the ground!" I command.

The boy drops his drum sticks and slowly lowers to the ground.

"You're going to jail, kid." I say, nearing him, my gun pointed at him.

He drops his eyes and shakes his head.

"It was her fault." He only whispers.
"Believe what ever you'd like."

Silent tears fall down his cheeks as I cuff him. He stands as I lead him out to my car. Pushing him into the back, I turn to see a mob of kids surrounding the car. I ignore them and go back to my side and get in. As I drive off, I look on my review mirror to see the poor guy already passed out.
