Earth is over populated. It's the thirty first century, 3013 to be exact, an it sucks. Factories over run everything, satellites are everywhere, and everybody's face is stuck in a screen.

Anyways, scientists have found a way to control it... more or less. Tattoos. Weird, I know. We're born with them. How? The ink in injected into the embryo. Creepy much? You're probably how the tattoos work and what they do. Well, the ink holds a poison that activates the date that is tattooed on where ever.

It tells you the age and date you die. Mine is located on my neck. It says I'll die on September twenty second, 3013. The thing is, today is September twenty third, 3013. I was supposed to die yesterday.

I don't know what to do. Do I go to the doctor? In times like this that I wish my parents were still around. Doctor, i decide. I leave my flat and step on to the air train. I pop the collar up on my leather jacket to hide the tattoo.

I get to the doctors office and sign in. I sit down and wait.

"Grey Jaxon?" A nurse calls.

I get up and follow her to a small room. I find the doctor staring out the window. He turns around at the sound of me.

"Grey Jaxon?"
"Yes, sir."
"What seems to be the problem? Sore throat, itchy eyes?"
"Not exactly. My tattoo is dated for the twenty second."

The doctor does a double take.

"Today is the twenty third! Here, let me see."

I roll the collar down and turn my head. The doctor examines my tattoo.

"It seems so."
"What are you going to do to me? I heard rumors that if your tattoo doesn't activate, that you'll kill me."
"We will do no such thing!" The doctors laughs.
"Well... what now?"
"Keep going about your life, Mr. Jaxon. It seems you have escaped to Fate's wrath."
"Thank you, doctor."
"You're welcome. Now, go have fun while you can, Earth wont survive much longer, Mr. Jaxon."

And I did just that. I went about my life until they day the Fates decided that they human race was no longer needed.
