Chapter 7 - Undergarments The Size Of Mice
Ray smirked in response as he started walking towards me. I immediately took several steps back.
"EXCUSE ME!" Mr. Strawser put his hand out in front of Ray to stop him. He cleared his throat before speaking again. "I'm sorry sir, but I must have an explanation of this situation before you take one of my students."
"I'm sorry sir. I'm Raymond Collins, Melissa and Ruby's father. I'm here to take Melissa to a dentist appointment." He said casually as if he rehearsed it.
"Our father is dead you asshole!" I screamed back, taking several more steps backward. the surprise was plastered onto everyone's faces from either my tone of voice, my statement, or the fact that this was a strange man that was lying about being family. Mason was surprised because of Ray's appearance. He was probably piecing together that Ray was one of my kidnappers.
"Whoa, whoa. No language in my classroom!" Mr. Strawser turned his head to look at Ray who was still being held back. "Mr. Raymond, it seems Ms. Collins is strongly against your presence being here. I just calmly ask you to leave."
"I'm sorry sir, but I'm not going to leave without Melissa. I will use force if I have too." And with that, Ray pulled a gun out of his belt, cocked it, and pointed it to my head.
"Students, out!" Mr. Strawser yelled. The entire class got up and left the room in a panic except for Ruby.
So here I was, at school in my 2nd-period classroom. The room was vacant with only my teacher, kidnapper, sister, and me filling it. My teacher was blocking Ray from me, but he was still pointing a gun at my head. My sister was behind both of them, still closest to the door.
"Do it. I dare you!" I yelled at him, angry tears streaming down my face.
And before you could say 'kidnapped', Ray smirked again, followed by pulling his arm back and hitting Mr. Strawser in the back of the head with the back of the gun. Mr. Strawser helplessly fell to the ground, completely losing his conscious.
Ruby stood in shock for a second but quickly ran over to the teacher to see if he was alright.
I turned eyes back to Ray in panic as he quickly walked towards me and grabbed my arm, yanking me towards the door. Tears flooded from my eyes as I saw Ruby trying to dash to the door, but Ray closed the door and locked it, trapping her inside.
I tried pulling my arm away as all of the students that were lined up at the door watched closely.
"Let me go! I don't want this! Not again! Not again. Please." I cried, my loud sobs quieted down into a whisper. Several students were also in panic, on their phones and probably calling someone for help.
Hopefully the cops.
Mason quickly ran up to us, grabbing me by my waist and pulling me out of his grip. Without hesitation, Mason swung a punch at Ray as he turned around, hitting Ray square in the jaw.
Ray scowled at his action, holding up his arm again and pointing the gun at Mason.
"Pussy. Let's fight man to man. No weapons except our fists." Mason trash talked. "Or maybe you should leave before the police catch you. Either way, Melissa is staying with us." He smirked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
Ray scowled again, spitting on the ground and turned around, quickly walking away.
I sobbed as I immediately ran out of Mason's arms to unlock the teacher's door and my heart almost shattered when I saw my sister hugging her knees and shaking heavily next to Mr. Strawser's, still unconscious, body. She quickly stood up and ran to me, bear hugging me, not caring about the crowd. We sobbed into each other's arms for what felt like hours but it was only minutes.
