Chapter 11 - The Art Of Sneaking

"Ray, don't do this! I'm just a maid!" I screamed, running around the house.

Jordan and Ray were both chasing after me, and I was surprisingly running the slightest bit faster than them.

Which honestly makes no sense since they've caught me in seconds all of the other times.

They didn't respond and I started thinking: Is this actually my life? Working as a maid at my kidnapper's mansion who seem to constantly try and rape me? Well at least one of them keeps trying.

I was wiped out of my thoughts when I bumped into a hard chest and bounced back, leading to me not-so-gracefully falling on my ass.

I looked up realized that I was in a completely different part of the house and that the hard chest I slammed into was Marcus.

"Melissa? What are you doing here-" Marcus asked, but I interrupted him.

"Marcus! I need your help! Ray's trying to rape me again, and I can't stand any more of Jordan's hugs!" I pleaded.

I guess Marcus thought it was funny because he cracked a smile and it looked like he's was trying his best not to laugh. "Say no more, princess! I shall be your rescue!"

"I'm being serious, Marcus. You said it yourself. It's wrong!" I stated.

"Right. Sorry. So you actually heard that...?" He looked away, hiding his face. Was he... blushing? "I guess that means you know what I did after that?"

I nodded with an eye roll. "I know you didn't want me to say anything, but we can talk about it if you want after this, okay?" I paused and looked back as I heard distant yelling of Jordan and Ray, running through the house. "Right now is not the time though. I seriously need your protection from these guys." I whispered.

Marcus nodded, still looking away. When he finally looked at me, he had a hint of determination in his eyes.

Marcus grabbed me by the arm and leaned into my ear. "Don't leave until I say you can." He whispered huskily.

I nodded, trying not to seem fazed by his action, but couldn't help but gulp.

Marcus chuckled in my ear, gently pushing me into the room he was coming out of before whispering again. "Hide under the bed."

And with that, he closed the door to the room I was in and I heard distant footsteps walking away.

I took a deep breath to calm myself and took in my surroundings. It was a bedroom that was surprisingly clean. There was a desk in the corner of the room and a bed on the opposite side. I walked over to the desk, observing the objects that were neatly placed.

There was a picture frame that showed a photograph of a family.

One of the members was Marcus who only looked about two to three years younger than he did now. He was next to a beautiful blond woman who looked opposite but exactly the same at the same time.

She was a blond as he had brown hair. She had icy blue eyes and he had hazel. Their nose, jaws, earlobes, etc. looked exactly the same though. Were they siblings?

Thump.

Thump.

"Marcus, have you seen Melissa? I have some... work she needs to do." I heard Ray's muffled voice from behind the door.

Scared for my virginity, I practically dove under Marcus's bed. I was even more shocked when I came face to face with nothing. No dust. No particles.
