Chapter 17 - Rumors Will Spread Like Wild Fires

"Hey, my arms aren't paralyzed anymore!" I smiled, but then realized I wasn't talking to anyone since none of them were in my room.

Although they weren't in my room, I guess they still heard me because a few seconds later I heard a thundering sound and Ray and Jordan burst through the doorway.

Sadly, Jordan tripped on the edge of the doorway and fell, leading to Ray tumbling on top of him. They both groaned in pain and I laughed at them.

Ray stopped groaning and looked at me in awe. "Did you just... laugh?"

I stared in disbelief. "You too? This feels familiar." I crossed my arms and Marcus laughed as he walked into the room casually with his hands in his pockets.

"You both are idiots." He chuckled.

"Ha! That's funny." Jordan mused sarcastically. Then he puffed out his chest and grinned proudly while still on the floor. "Because this idiot is actually the smartest out of everyone in this room." He referred to himself. "I'm The Hacker, remember?"

"Oh yeah? Well, this idiot is The Boss. That clearly means that I'm the smartest." Ray challenged.

I sighed. "You guys are so stupid, you called yourself idiots."

They frowned and stood up.

Marcus laughed again and I glared at him. "Hey! Don't think you're too smart either! You might have the most common sense, but you're still stupid."

"Oh yeah? How so?" He smirked smugly.

"You let Mason, my bully, come near me, and I got assaulted. Why would you trust him? He's a horny teenager!"

Marcus furrowed his eyebrows. "He was your bully?"

"Yeah." I said in a 'duh' tone. "He's the reason I have most of these scars." Marcus wasn't supposed to know that, so I felt kind of bad when I used that attitude towards him.

Marcus was quiet as he glared at the floor, probably thinking about how he's going to brutally tear Mason's limbs off.

I felt bad for Mason since he was about to get abused by his brother.

But not really because he was an asshole that deserved it.

"So... you can move your arms now?" Jordan changed the subject.

"Yeah. I can work now!" I said excitedly.

Hey, don't judge! It's super boring in this place when you have nothing to do.

"You're excited?" Ray questions, patting the dust off of his shoulders.

See? That's why I need to clean this place! There's dust everywhere because I'm stuck in a bed, unable to help.

"There's nothing else to do here," I whined.

My eyes widened as a question popped up in my head. "Hey uh, can I get a tour of this place? The only places that I can clean here are the kitchen, my room, and the living room.

"I could tidy up Marcus's room but the one time I went in there, it was crystal clear. Plus, that's kind of his privacy and I don't want to invade."

Marcus stopped burning a hole in the floor with his glare and looked at me. His eyes softened and he smiled, appreciating my comment.

"She went into your room?" Jordan asked Marcus. "When?"

"When you two were trying to attack her when she first got her uniform," Marcus explained. "She bumped into me and told me she needed help to hide from you guys. I told her to hide under the bed in my room."
