Chapter 13 - Someone Get Me A Fidget Cube
Damn. I'm exhausted. So much has happened today.
1. I saved Justin's other foot.
2. I gave Ray a boner.
3. I cleaned my room.
4. I struggled with hugs.
5. I gave Ray another boner.
6. I hid under Marcus's bed.
7. I found a man in a cell.
8. I passed out.
9. I struggled with more hugs.
10. I cried.Oh, how I love my life.
"Melissa, are you alright?" Ray asked in a concerning tone, snapping me out of my thoughts of today.
Ever since I've been here, everything has been happening so suddenly. I've never had so many events happen in one day. I'm still used to my school life. The only 'exciting' thing that has ever happened in my school life has been the daily bullying by Mason & Co.
But now he's all "I'm suddenly going to protect you from these kidnappers now."
Not to mention I don't even go to school anymore. If I ever showed my face there again, I'd be tackled with questions and concerns from both students and teachers.
I'm not ready for that attention. I wasn't ready last time.
"Yeah, I'm fine I guess. So much has happened today so I can't help but be super tired and I haven't even eaten anything today." I pouted. "Plus, the only cleaning I've gotten done today was my own room."
"Aw. You're so cute when you're upset." Jordan cooed.
I frowned more but then my eyes widened.
Why the fuck is Ray still holding me? If I'm correct, earlier today he gave up trying to swoon me over and said: "Maybe we should get another girl."
"Ugh. Whatever. I'll make everything up tomorrow." I sighed.
Marcus and Jordan nodded and walked out of the room.
Ray picked me up and laid me down on my bed. Before he turned away from me, he kissed me on the cheek.
I stared in awe at the ceiling, processing his action and then sat up to look at him. "Why did you just... kiss me?"
"Oh, so Marcus can kiss you, but I can't? Don't be thinking that I missed that action he pulled."
"But you've already kissed me and to be honest, it was extremely traumatizing. I'm just wondering because you said you would move on and get another girl." I stated bluntly.
"How did you hear that?" Ray asked, narrowing his eyes at me.
"Shit."
"How did you hear that?" He continued to pressed.
"I was hiding under the bed. The one place you didn't look." I crossed my arms. "But that doesn't answer my question. If you're moving on, then why did you kiss me?"
Ray sighed. "Goodnight, Melissa. Get some rest." Ray walked out, turned off the lights, and closed the door.
I glared at the door that he closed.
That damn bastard should've left the light on. Does he really think that I'm going to sleep in this uniform?
I pushed our recent conversion to the back of my head and angerly stomped back to the door and turned on the switch, leading to me changing into my hoodie and almost immediately passing out on my bed.
~Time Skip~
"Marcus, why'd you have to kidnap Melissa!? Out of every teenage girl in my school, you picked Melissa??"
