Chapter 23 - Light Of My Day
After the long day of making everyone lunch, cleaning the house, and stopping The Boys from putting Perceil into a meat grinder, I was exhausted and went to bed.
Apparently The Boys were gone when Perceil shot himself, because they took out The Populars to fill out some form thing at the company they use to sell... submissives.
And they almost sold me. I never want to see dominant. The toys give me nightmares.
Wait... Perceil was the guy who almost bought me. Does that mean...
HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS. PERCEIL IS A DOMINANT.
The need to re-think my life again.
I was suprisingly comfortable and refreshed when I woke up, but my smell bothered me. So, using my common sense, I had a shower.
I stripped, showered, shaved, and got into my uniform with no sweat, skipping to the kitchen to make meals for the prisoners.
I was about to get the ingredients out of the fridge, but the doorbell rang. When I walked to go answer it, I saw Ray got there first.
I heard my sister's voice and I was about to shout to her, but then I heard my mother's voice.
Shit.
Oh shit.
I never reassured them that I was okay. They think I'm dead, and mom is here. Mom must have tracked my phone, or Ruby drove herself and mom over here. Probably the latter, because Jordan hacked my location.
I had to say something. Oh god, this will ruin everything, but I had to see my family.
It seems that Ray hasn't even spoken yet and my family was just questioning him without end.
Poor Ray.
Wow, I never thought that I would ever say those two words together.
"Mom! Ruby! I'm all right! It was all a misunderstanding, I swear!" I stepped into view and hugged them.
"Melissa, what happened!? Who's this? What the hell were you talking about?" My mother shouted, wiping tears away from her eyes.
"It's very complicated mo-"
"What were all of those things that you were talking about? Why are you here? And with boys? What prisoners?"
"Mom, I think-"
"Why are you living with three males? Especially with that outfit. Please tell me you're still a virgin."
How did she know that there were the three of them? She only saw Ray.
I turned around and saw Jordan and Marcus standing behind us with a concerned look. Jordan raised an eyebrow, but Marcus was full-on glaring at me. It hurt.
"You never tell me anything! I'm sorry I'm never around, but moving out of the house is a big deal. I will drag you back home if you worry me-"
"MOM." Ruby and I shouted back at her in sync.
She stopped scolding and stared wide-eyed at the both of us.
"Um... I decided to move in with these guys because I was looking at places to stay when I go to college. It just so happens that these guys are going to the same college that I want to go to, so I decided to move in early." I gave a smile with no meaning.
"Um... okay? Will you introduce me then?"
My eyes widened and I looked at them to see what to do. They gave me a warning glare and I got an idea.
