RESOLUTION

Sebastian Black

"Got it." I said before Lizzy had a chance to yell at me. I followed Mackenzie, or at least followed where I thought she had went.

"Make sure she doesn't kill anyone!" Lizzy called after me.

I broke into a jog, knowing that Mack might. This was the last straw.

"Mack!" I called. "Mack!!" I tried again.

The other thing was, if Brittanna got the upper hand, things could go very badly.... for Mackenzie.

Mackenzie Porter

This. Was. The. Last. Straw! That girl is DEAD.

I rounded a corner, and saw her way to short skirt swish around the corner. I sprinted dead ahead, flipped in the air and landed on top of her. I drew the knife, and held it above her chest.

     "You're insane." I spat.

     She laughed,

"But, Mackenzie, what have I done to you?" She smirked.

"What have you done to me?!" I growled.

And then, I felt a hand close around my arm. Then another. Suddenly, I flew into a wall. My breath was knocked out of me. Her friends swarmed me, holding me down. One hand cupped my mouth.

"Mack!" I heard Sebastian call, far away.

"Sorry darling, but your prince will be to late." Brittanna smirked, pulling a needle from her pocket. She leaned forward, stabbing the syringe into my skin. As she injected the liquid, my blood burned, and my skin crawled. Her friends released me.

"MACKENZIE!" I distantly heard Sebastian scream as he rounded the corner. I looked at him, swaying.

     "Mackenzie!?" He yelled.

"Sebastian," I whispered before crumpling to the ground.

MacKenzie

I woke to the sound of my name.

"Mackenzie." Sebastian whispered again. I opened my eyes to his. I could barely move.

"Sebas-" Was all I could manage.    "-Bastian" I tried again, my vision swirling.

"Shhh." He caressed my hair, murmuring softly.

My breathing came sharp and fast, with my pulse running slowly through my body.

"-cold" I whispered, wanting him to pull me close, wanting him.

"You're okay." He murmured. I heard a shuffling behind him. He looked up.

"There." I heard Brittanna, of all people, spit.

"If it doesn't work- I swear, Brittanna." Sebastian said, voice more venomous than a snake.

"-tian? Wh-?" He leaned over me, holding something out of view.

"Do you trust me?" He asked, voice serious, eyes trusting and hopeful.

     "Always." I finally managed.

He pulled into view a needle.

"This will save you." He said, and his voice cracked.

     "-t do y-" I whispered, "-ean?" I asked, gasping.

"You're dying." He said, and a tear fell onto my cheek. His tear.

He kissed my forehead, lightly, like a brush of air. Then he took the needle and put it into my neck, gently. I barely even felt a thing. My vision swam in and out of view, taunting me.

"I'll always be with you." I somehow managed, before I blacked out.
