Willow's POV

Liam and I returned to the apartment and we heard voices and some crying upstairs. It sounded like Brendon was here. I decided to go up and make sure everything was ok. The door to the guest room was open and Brendon was holding and comforting Luna, who was crying.

I noticed Luna's open suitcase with some of her clothes thrown into it. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"Zayn came back again and tried to force Luna to go back home with him." Brendon replied.

"That's awful, I'm so sorry to hear that. How does he not see what he's done and how wrong he is for doing it?" I was so confused. How could someone be so selfish and cruel?

"Because he's a heartless dick, that's why." Brendon replied annoyed. "He's so oblivious to his actions and doesn't own up to them."

After I found out about how badly Zayn broke Luna's heart, him still hating me didn't seem so important anymore. Why would I want to be friends with someone who doesn't know how to treat another human being? Zayn refusing to forgive me isn't what hurt me now. What hurt me now was knowing the damage he caused Luna. Things like that take a lot of time to move on from and sometimes, people don't move on from it at all.

"Zayn can't keep coming back here and harassing you. It's not right." I said. "I mean, we keep the door locked but that doesn't stop him from coming here."

"Exactly, as long as Luna is still here, he's going to keep coming back." Brendon said.

"I'm sorry we weren't hear to help you, Luna." I said guiltily.

Luna shook her head. "No, Willow, you didn't know. I wanted you and Liam to go out and have fun with each other."

"I know you did and I appreciate that."

Another week had gone by and Brendon had stayed over almost every night. Sarah still wasn't too pleased with him about it and I was starting to get concerned about their marriage. Brendon said he does still love her so why doesn't he try working things out? Luna still didn't figure out that he had feelings for her. That was good since she was already dealing with enough shit right now. She still refused to eat and when she did eat, it was only very little. Brendon scolded her a few times for it but it didn't help to change anything.

Later, I decided to go to the grocery store to get some stuff for dinner. I was walking down one of the aisles when I saw a familiar face. Violet. I began to turn away but it was too late because she already saw me.

"Hey, Willow!" Fuck.

"Oh, hey, Violet..." I said nonenthusiastically.

"So are you making anything good for dinner tonight?" She asked.

"Yes, I am and I have to go check out now." I replied. I just wanted to get out of there so I didn't have to deal with her any longer.

"Well, you won't have to make too much because I'm inviting Liam to hang out again tonight and you know he won't say no."

I knew she was right about that. He still didn't see what a bitch she was. I swear, she could murder someone and he'd still want to be her best friend.

"Of course he wouldn't." I said.

"Oh, is someone jealous because their husband doesn't do everything with them 24/7?" Violet asked with fake sympathy in her voice.

"I am not jealous." I raised an eyebrow. We both knew that wasn't true but still, I didn't want to start anything.

Violet approached me so she was just inches away from me. "Listen, you stupid bitch."

"No need for name calling." I mumbled.

"Shut up and let me finish!" She snapped. "Look, I was the only girl in Liam's life first and I intend to keep it that way."

I rolled my eyes. "Is that a threat or a promise?"

"You better believe it's both."

"Oh no, I'm so scared!" I said sarcastically.

Violet gave me a death glare. "You should be."

"Okay, really? I had a delusional stalker who claimed to be in love with me, has kidnapped me twice, beaten the shit out of me, threatened to kill me and gave me PTSD so what's the fucking worst you can possibly do to me?"

"Honey, don't underestimate me." Violet continued glaring at me and walked away.

Whatever, I wasn't afraid of her. She could do whatever she wanted but nothing she did was going to be worse than what Brian did to me.

I got back home and set the groceries down. I made dinner a little while later and Liam went out to be with Violet, no surprise there. Luna didn't eat anything and Brendon getting frustrated with her, of course, didn't make her want to eat.

Liam and I were getting ready for bed after he came back home.

"So Violet said she saw you at the grocery store and that you had a nice conversation." Liam said.

"Nice is the farthest thing from what that conversation was." I replied.

"What do you mean?" Seriously, how was he not aware of her true self?

"She basically wants to get rid of me. She said she's 'the only girl in your life'".

"That doesn't mean she wants to get rid of you. Stop overexaggerating." Liam retorted.

"Still, she was being rude and I don't see why you'd want to be friends with someone like her." I said a bit harshly.

"Seriously, Willow, I am so fucking sick and tired of you constantly talking shit about my best friend!" Liam snapped.

"Don't be so loud, Liam! Luna and Brendon are here!" I warned. I especially didn't want Luna to have to hear us argue. I wanted to stay strong for her.

"Alright, fine, I won't bother to continue arguing with you, then." Liam said annoyed and got into bed.

I turned the light off and got into bed next to him. I snuggled up close to him and put my arm around his side.

"Willow, do you mind backing up a little? I need some space." Liam asked.

"But we always cuddle before we fall asleep." I said disappointedly.

"Well, I'm not feeling it tonight." Liam replied nonchalantly.

"Okay, sorry." My heart sank and I moved back to my original spot.

"Goodnight, love you."

"Love you too."

He wasn't feeling it tonight? Sure, he was pissed at me for saying those things about Violet but that was no excuse for him to be rude and reject my affection towards him. Maybe if I hadn't said any of those things, he wouldn't be acting so distant. I didn't say them to cause a fight, I only wanted to warn him of the things his so called "friend" does to his own wife. He couldn't even try to listen to my side of the story.

It was one thing for Violet to kick me out of the car and insult me for eating pizza and buying things she didn't like. Threatening and promising to break up my husband and I was far worse than all of that. If she was a true friend to Liam, which she's obviously not, then she would be happy for him and not try to destroy a marriage. That is one of the most fucked up things a person can do to someone. We were doing just fine until she came along.
