Dear Matthew,

Do you remember when we were younger? When I say younger I mean when talking was new to us and learning was everything.

I remember playing in the playground once, when three boys who were all clearly older than me, pushed me to the ground and stole my scooter.

You saved me from those bullies.

When I was five, YOU stood up for me.

From that day forward, you always defended me in everything I believed in and loved.

When I believed in fairies and make believe kingdoms, the bogey man and how I must be protected by a brave solider and even when I was the only kid who still waited for Santa to arrive.

You always defended me and loved to believe in my beliefs too.

That was then though, this is now.

And now, I hate you.

Love Ivy.
