Matthew,

Today when the phone rang; I answered.

Not because I wanted to, but because it was 3am and I blindly reached out for it, sliding my thumb across without checking who was calling.

"Hello?" I'd groaned sleepily.

I heard a small intake of breath before you spoke, "Ivy?"

"Uhhh, I- yes?" I'd stammered, mentally slapping myself in the face for not glancing at the caller ID, "Who is this?"

What a stupid unnecessary question Ivy.

"Um, it's me? It's Matt...Ivy?" His voice was confused, maybe a little hurt too because I didn't recognise him.

So I had two options of response.

"Oh, yeah hi,"

Or the one I went with, "Sorry I don't know a Matt? Goodnight,"

I'd apologise for my actions, but I think they're appropriate because I don't know the Matt you are now.

You're a stranger to me Matthew Daddario.

From Ivy.
