A new beginning

Annie goes a visiting.

The days passed quickly and the morning sickness, and the shock of being pregnant wore off. I was so excited about Megan and David's wedding approaching. Megan and I finished her wedding dress just the other day. She was going to be a vision in white, the over skirt was done in a soft white material.The underskirt was done in the same material but in ruffles, her veil was made of the prettiest lace we could find. She was going to be a vision in white on her wedding day, I would tear up every now and again.

I missed Jake and from what I am told he was looking bad, well could you blame him being stuck with that hussy. I didn't blame him anymore, Grandma told me what was going on. Amber had been sleeping with a guy named Carter in New Market, so she decided instead of telling him to trap Jake into marrying her. Since her daddy gave her everything she wanted, she knew she would get Jake. So she decided to ruin my life and Jake's to get what she wanted, I hope she is happy.

David would come over and talk to Annie" I don't know what to do Jake is drinking every day."

Annie would shake her head" well can you blame him for being forced in marriage to a spoilt brat."

David shook his head" I don't, I just wish we could do something, he is broken hearted."

Annie would pat him on the arm" Don't worry he will get free one day, and she will get paid back for what she has done."

David smiled" well I do know that since you pulled your money out of the bank others are falling suit behind you."

Annie snickered" well he wants to be blind to his daughters actions, he has to pay the price."

David chuckled" yeah everyone knows that isn't Jake's baby, and don't like what she did."

Annie would chuckle" well no one likes it but what is done is done."

David nodded" my brother is slowly killing himself, he doesn't even sleep at their place."

Annie looked worried" what do you mean?"

David nodded" he doesn't even live there, he is still staying at our place."

Annie smiled" I knew he hated her but to be married and not to take up residence with your bride is bad."

David nodded" he hates her with his whole being, he loves only one person and that is your granddaughter."

My heart leaped for joy, I couldn't believe my ears. Annie smiled" well I guess I need to make a visit and talk with your brother."

David nodded his head" please you might be able to do something to help him."

Annie smiled" I happen to have a plan up my sleeve and it would serve for that brat to pay for her deceit."

David smiled" you are my last hope she is suppose to be due next month to have her baby."

Annie smiled" well so she is is she?"

David seen the look grow on Annie's face" uh oh what are you up to Annie?"

Annie smiled" what is the good of owning the rights to this town if you can't pull some weight around here." With that she left a speechless David standing in her wake.

Annie climbed up into the buggy " Lizzie! Megan! will be back later this afternoon I am on a mission."

We both looked at her and then back at her" uh oh someone's in trouble hope it isn't us.
