The Courtroom Circus

Judge Phillips was sitting behind his desk, when the commotion started. He heard all the yelling" Where is my granddaughter?" " I don't know what you are talking about you old bat!" "Why don't you ask your daughter what she did with her!" " My daughter had nothing to do with her disappearance!" " Who said it was a disappearance?" What was going on?

He came out of his office and pounded with his gavel" Order in the courtroom now!" Everyone stopped and looked up at him, he looked as all of the red faces and angry words stopped. Annie walked forward" My granddaughter was arrested yesterday for defending herself from those to goons!"

He was shocked" What?"

Annie continued" then we went to deliver her breakfast, and she was gone."

He sank in his seat" What did the Sheriff say?"

Jake came forward" that there was no way she could have gotten out herself that someone took her."

He paled" so now we have a kidnapping charge?"

Annie and Jake nodded, and he sighed" any suspects?"

They pointed at the two most hated people in town right now. This was becoming a huge mess, it needed to stop. Just before he said anything else the Sheriff came running in." hold everything, I want to address the court."

The Judge waved him forward" what is it Sheriff?"

He came forward with the note that Lizzie left, " this was left by Lizzie before she was taken."

Annie sighed" so you found something?"

As the Judge read it, he then looked over at Amber who was beaming with sunshine" So Amber did you have anything to do with Lizzie's disappearance?"

She brightly smiled" why no your honor, I was at home in my bed still asleep."

He stared at her " are you sure about that?"

She started to squirm in her seat"I am sure that I was in my bed, you can ask my daddy because he came to wake up me up for court."

Mr. Woodson smiled" I did your honor, she was there in her bed when I went to wake her."

Phillip shook his head" There is one thing that I can't stand is a liar, and you Missy are telling one right now."

Her brightness seemed to fade just like her fake smile" I don't know what you mean sir I am telling the truth."

His anger flared" you sit there and lie to me and try to deny that you are telling a lie!"

Amber cringed" I don't know what you are talking about."

Phillip looked at Jake" you sir are no longer married to this girl, it will be annulled."

Jake nodded with some happiness" Thank you sir, but can you please help me find Lizzie?"

Phillip nodded" Amber you did something to Lizzie, this note is in her handwriting and it has your name on it."

Amber started to whimper" I didn't do nothing to her, Junior did!"

Jack smiled" that boy will do anything for you since you sleep with him every night."

Amber's true nature came to surface" well someone in this town had to rid us of that whore!" Her daddy looked at her " Amber what did you do?" Amber stood up and cackled" well father dear I did what you wouldn't do, she is most likely dead."

Annie screamed" NO, NOT MY LIZZIE!"

She gasped as Jake caught her, and Amber continued" she took everything away from me, no one thought twice about me when she came to this town!" David sneered" why would they you are meaner than the devil himself!" Amber cackled" you have no idea what I am capable of and as soon as this thing is born, I can finish what I started!" She was laughing uncontrollably, she didn't notice all the hateful stares she was receiving especially from her own father.
