Mary arrived in a ball of tears, we were all waiting for the train to arrive. As she came down the steps, she seen us all standing there. She stepped down the last step, into a sea of hugs. She wiped the tears from her eyes" I am so happy to see some familiar faces, I can't believe he is gone." Megan, Annie and I walked her to collect her trunks, the guys went to collect the pine box and to deliver it to the church.

We were going to bury him today, Mary wanted it done. The arrangements were already made and ready for us to get to the church for the services. We were moving slowly towards the church for the services. Jake and David were already waiting at the church, I was happy that Brittany offered to watch the twins for us. Even though she was horrid towards Megan and I at first. We all talked and forgave any misgivings we had for each other. I wasn't worried about my girls, Brittany was more than capable of taking care of them. Vera, Brittany's mom verified that the girls would be in good hands.

We arrived at the church and it was packed with people who met Thomas. When they stayed here for those few months, Thomas made frequent trips to town. He became friends with a lot of people here in town. So who ever knew Thomas was here, we walked down the isle and to our family pew. We were a united front for Mary, she needed us now.

"Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust....." I have been here before.

I have heard those same words over a year ago. I dreaded those words every time I heard them. I hope the next time I heard them, I would be a lot older than eighteen. Jake squeezed my hand, he knew that I needed that. Luke stood by Grandma, We stood there surrounding Mary as a united front, she needed the support right now.

After the funeral was done we all went to the Pastor's house for refreshments. Mary was pale and didn't look like herself, her blue eyes were blood shot red. I wouldn't know what to do if I would loose Jake. I squeezed his hand and leaned into him more, he knew what I was thinking.

He placed a kiss on my forehead and whispered" I am not going anywhere anytime soon."

I nodded" neither am I, came close a couple of times."

Luke walked with Mary and Grandma ahead of us. Megan and David were right behind them, Megan was breathing pretty hard" I need to sit down."

I stopped" Megan are you okay?"

I knew she was going to have that baby any day now.

Megan waved David on" go I will be fine besides Lizzie is here with me."

Jake looked at me" if for some reason you need me send for me."

I smiled up at him" you know I will, just take care of Mary she's as close as a mother I can get to."

Jake nodded" I will don't take to long you two we will miss you."

I smiled" we will be just a few minutes, it's not easy being with child."

Jake and David walked off with smiles on their faces.

Megan groaned" Lizzie, I am having some of those birthing pains."

I looked up at her" Megan, we need to get you to the doctor."

Megan shook her head" I can bare them, it's Mary's time right now."

I shook my head " do you want to deliver in the back of that wagon like I did?"

Megan smiled" well you seemed to have it much easier delivery in that wagon."

I smiled" Megan, David will have our heads if he knows that you are having pains."

Megan smiled" what are you talking about I would be in the doctor's office right now as we speak."
