We were so mad that when we got back home,we didn't even stop by to deliver their supplies. Annie came out on the porch" Well I expected that you two would have stayed longer in town than this?" I looked at her "well we were enjoying ourselves, until those two hussies came and ruined everything."

Annie looked at both girls"Why, what happened?"

Megan glared " An Amber and Brittany is what happened!"

Annie gasped"oh no, what happened?"

We both got down from the wagon, we walked up on the porch to sit. We waited for Annie to sit in her rocker before we began. She listened as we told her of all that happened. She was angry after hearing what happened, she started to pace back and forth. We decided that we would unload our purchases, she was fuming. We had just got the last hat box off, Annie climbed up and grabbed the reins.

She looked determine" I will go have a little talk with those boys."

Megan nodded" yes Mame, we will have everything done, before you get back."

Annie nodded" I will have this all settled once and for all." With that she took off for the next farm over.

David stopped plowing as he saw a cloud of dust coming this way. Jake happened to notice also" We are in so much trouble." David grimaced " well hopefully we can straighten this out without to much damage." Both men stood waiting for the arrival of who ever was driving that wagon.

Annie pulled the brake as she stopped just a few feet away from them. She came around" you two have some explaining to do." David looked at her" what is it? Is Megan hurt? Or is it Lizzie?" Annie was fuming" those two girls are heart broken and I don't blame them for feeling that way either." Jake looked shocked and looked at his brother.David started to say something but was interrupted by Annie.

She started to shout" after they were enjoying themselves shopping for the dance next month!" She dropped her voice to a scalding" to be treated the way they were, just makes me angry!"

David gulped" what do you mean by the way they were treated?"

Annie smirked " oh don't play stupid with me young man, what does this Amber and Brittany to you two?"

Jake shook his head" they mean nothing to us, they just won't leave us alone."

Annie smirked " look, I don't want to be over here doing this, but I have known you two since the day you were born."

David nodded" yes Mame we know, we just would like to explain our side."

Annie nodded " I will let you explain, but first I need to say that those two girls are angry and heart broken."

Jake grimaced" I knew that this was going to happen."

Annie continued " the last thing I will allow to happen is those two girls getting hurt."

David nodded " we understand and it is the last thing we want to do, we don't want to hurt them." Annie nodded " okay let us go sit so you can tell me your side." They walked to the porch and sat down to talk it over.

Jake started to talk" it all started when Amber moved here when she was a young school girl."

Annie nodded for him to continue. " She decided that I was handsome enough for her, so she started to drop hints here and there." Jake took a drink and continued" she wouldn't take no for an answer, her cousin decided she couldn't live without David and so Amber decided the same."

David nodded and motioned for Jake to continue. " so they made it there mission to run off any other girl who even tried to get to know us."

Annie simmered down" I see now, keep talking."
