A new beginning

I stretched my body after sleeping for a while, I dreamed that I was in labor and had twin girls. I smiled " wow what a dream, glad that didn't happen." I was giggling to myself, Jake came walking in with a tray.

He smiled" good morning, I bet you are hungry."

I smiled" I am famished, let me sit up I am being lazy this morning."

Jake nodded " well baby you deserve it after last evening."

I tried to sit up, I was really sorry in places I didn't know existed. I winced as I moved into a sitting position" I am sore, I can't for the life of me remember what I did."

Jake chuckled" I know what you did, I will be right back."

He sat the tray down on the bed beside me and left the room. He came back carrying two tiny bundles and a big grin on his face. I dropped my piece of toast, my mouth was hanging open. I was about to cry," so it wasn't a dream I had the baby? or should I say babies?"

Jake walked over to the bed and sat down" don't cry, you gave birth to two beautiful baby girls."

I started to cry" are they okay? Let me hold my babies." I reached out to grab one from Jake, he chuckled" we still have to name them you know." He wiped his thumb across my cheek to wipe the tears away. I smiled down at my babies in my arms," they are so beautiful, I never want to let them go."

Jake kissed my forehead" I feel the same way, so what do you want to do for names?"

I smiled" how about Emma and Emily?"

Jake smiled" I like those names, how about Emma Sue Hugh's and Emily Anne Hugh's?"

I smiled" I love that Annie would be so happy to hear she is going to have a name sake."

Jake smiled" trust me she knows, she is the one that suggested it for a middle name if it wasn't a first name."

We laughed, and the babies began to cry. I started to get worried" It must be feeding time, when was the last time they ate?"

Jake smiled" wow you must have slept hard, you fed them about every two hours except the last time."

I paled" my poor babies, their starving."

Jake smiled" this is where I leave you to do your business."

I waved him on, and opened my gown to reveal a full breast. I placed Emma on one side and Emily on the other. I felt their little mouths suck on my nipple, in a motherly way it was a good feeling. I was happy to be able to feed them, I didn't realize how full my breasts were of milk. It was a job I was happy to do to release some of the pressure. I sang a little lullaby while they drank their fill, I gently would rub their little heads. They had soft light colored hair on their heads, I believe it was going to be blond like their daddy's hair.

I was finishing up with their feeding when Jake came back in to check on us. He smiled as he seen my breasts out in full view" need any help?" I smiled" yes pappa, they need to be burped." He took Emily first, and patted her on her back. I fastened my gown back up, then I picked up Emma and patted her on her back. It was one right after the other let out a little burp.

I smiled" aren't they precious angels?"

Jake smiled" yes they are, Thank you Lizzie."

I looked up at him" for what?"

He smiled " for making me the happiest man on this earth."

I smiled" your welcome, besides I am going to be a very proud momma when they get older."
