STEVEN'S IN THE BUTTER
CHARACTERS
NARRATOR
Duff (Mckagan) The tall bassist from Guns N' Roses, tries to manage Steven
Slash The GNR guitarist who always wears a tophat.
Steven (Adler) The drummer from GNR, the weird one...
Izzy (Stradlin) The Rhythm guitarist from GNR, His quote is No. He doesn't care that much about anything, except Steven
Axl (Rose) The short tempered redhead singer from GN'R. Wears a blue bandanna .
SCENE 1
Setting: In Guns N' Roses' shared apartment, In L.A..
Time: Morning. 1989.
At Rise: Slash is sitting in the living room reading a book about Guns N' Roses, THe Narrator is off to the side, the narrator remains there for the whole play
Duff (Duff runs into the room crazily). Help! Help!
NARRATOR. cried Duff when the sun came up . . .
Duff (Waves his arms around). Steven is in the Butter and he won't get out! Oh, who knows what to do?
Slash (Slash throws the book on the floor). I do!
NARRATOR. cried Slash when the sun came up . . .

Slash . Get out! It's time to Rehearse !
Steven . Come in!
NARRATOR cried steven
STEVEN (Throws butter at Slash) Today we Rehearse in BUTTER
SCENE 2
Setting: GNR'S HOUSE
Time: The Afternoon
At Rise: Izzy, holding a dog leash, walks through the living room
DUFF(Runs in crazily and almost slips). Help! Help!
NARRATOR. cried DUFF when the sun got hot . . .
DUFF. _Steven_ is in the butter and he won't get out! Oh, who knows what to do?
IZZY( Drops dog leash). I do!
NARRATOR. cried IZZY when the sun got hot . . .
IZZY Get out! It's time to _EAT CANDY!
STEVEN (Throws butter at Izzy). Come in! I'M TOO LAZY TO GET OUT!
NARRATOR . cried STEVEN
STEVEN Today we SHOVE JUNK IN OUR MOUTH in the tub!
SCENE 3
Setting: Sill in GNR's apartment
Time: early Evening
At Rise: Axl is angerly shouting on the phone, pacing back and forth,
Duff (Runs In Crazily). Help! Help!
NARRATOR. cried Duff when the sun sank low . . .
Duff. Steven is in the butter and he won't get out! Oh, who knows what to do?
Axl (almost smashes the phone, but instead just puts it on the table). I do!
NARRATOR. cried Axl when the sun sank low . . .
Axl (Evil smile). Get out! It's time to Smash instruments !
Steven. Come in! I'M STILL TO LAZY TO COME OUT!
NARRATOR cried Steven
Steven (Throws butter at Axl) Today we smash stuff in the tub!
Duff STOP THROWING BUTTER AT PEOPLE!
SCENE 4
Setting: GNR's apartment
Time: Nighttime.
At Rise: Duff is on the phone trying to reason with the manager because the manager wants to fire Axl
DUFF I'm sorry, he normally does this...
AXL (Runs in frustrated and crazily). Help! Help!
NARRATOR. cried AXL when the moon shone bright . . .
AXL (stage direction – if necessary). STEVEN'S is in the BUTTER and he won't get out! Oh, who knows what to do? Who knows what to do?
DUFF (Waves his arms around). I do!
NARRATOR. cried DUFF when the moon shone bright . . .
DUFF(Gives Steven some buttered toast). Is this what you wanted?
STEVEN (Gets out). MY PROTEST WORKED
IZZY How was that a protest?
NARRATOR. And, that is the true story of STEVEN BEING STUCK IN THE BUTTER.
SLASH FOR THE WHOLE FREAKING DAY!
Okay guys, the main reason why this play thingy is so weird is because we had to follow a template, but yeah, my final exam group project was a fanfic. And since there was only four of us, I players two parts, which where Axl and Izzy. And I was the only one really into it, so yeah...
