"You did what?" I heard Louis nearly shout from the kitchen, causing both me and Niall to fall quiet and directing our gazes towards the kitchen entrance.
"Shush, the others might hear you." Harry's voice was hushed, but I could still hear what he said, and it made me curious. What were they talking about? What was it that Harry had done that could possibly surprise Louis like that?
"And you don't think they will understand when she stops coming over?" I turned my gaze to Niall giving him a questioning look as Louis said that. After who stopped coming over? What was all of this? Niall responded with a shrug, and he looked just as confused as me as to what all this noise could be fore.
I got off Niall's lap, but his hands on my waist kept me from getting any further. "Maybe you shouldn't." He said, but not too loud, probably not wanting the boys to know we had overheard them.
"They don't have to know yet Louis. Hell, I don't even know what happened yet." I heard Harry answer Louis sounding pretty frustrated at the fact that he didn't know what had happened, but at the same time knowing he did something.
"I think they might be talking about Lauren." I told Niall as I looked at him and then towards the kitchen. "And in that case it is probably my fault." I continued, this time as I just stared out into the air. Could all of this be because of what I had told Lauren to do earlier, because in that case there must be something really wrong for her not wanting to come over ever again.
"Ella is probably going to kill you, you know how close they've gotten." Louis just confirmed my suspicion, it had to be Lauren and Niall must have heard it too.
"Okay... but if it isn't about her then we leave, right?" Niall asked me and stood up causing me to return my gaze to his as I nodded.
"You don't have to come." I said as I took a step back and he let his hands fall to his sides as he shook his head and gestured for me to go. I started walking towards the kitchen with Niall following closely behind me.
"What's the big deal anyway? I just said I didn't like her like that." Harry said, just as frustrated as earlier, just as I reached the kitchen entrance. I didn't mean to stop there, but just then Louis mentioned my name again, and I knew he hadn't seen me yet.
"That's what Niall said too, the time when Ella got so upset."
"Maybe-" Niall started as I felt his hands on my waist, probably trying to tell me we shouldn't interfere with their conversation, but it was too late.
"If you said it straight to her face then it's not the same." Both Louis and Harry turned to face me quickly, and both with surprised expressions on their face, they hadn't expected me to even be there. Niall hadn't meant to say it so I heard it the other time, it was all just me being in the wrong place to the wrong time. "Was that why she left?"
"Yes." Harry said, his voice lower than before, sounding guilty. He had told us she left because she lived close and wanted to walk home, why would he lie?
"Then why did you tell us she just wanted to walk home? " I took a couple of steps closer to the two of them standing there by the kitchen counter. Niall let go of my waist, he didn't follow me this time. I knew he didn't like arguments, and neither did I, but this was my entire fault. I had told her to confront him about it, and that had to be what had caused all of this to happen.
"What was I supposed to say? That I made her run away crying?"
"And you let her?" I asked him shocked, this was definitely not what I had expected of Harry. Yes, he liked to tease me and others, but I thought he was able to make the right decisions when it came to it.
