Wednesday.
The last day of work, and yet another reminder of my stay in London coming to an end. In two days I’ll be back in Mullnar, and that will be nice, but I’m going to miss London a lot. And not just London, but also the people I’ve gotten to know and the things I’ve experienced. There are still a few more things to come before it’s over though, and today is one of those.

“Liz, where are you going?” I was already a couple of meters down the hall, in the opposite direction of where the boys normally headed when we arrived at work. I stopped and turned to face him and the others with a smile on my face.

“To Cammie, I need to get my tasks for the day.” I answered him, not really understanding why he asked. This was normal procedure at work, and he had never commented on it before.

“Didn’t anyone tell you we’re writing today?” Louis then asked me, earning a bit of a confused look from me. No one had told me about that, or at least not that I had heard. I might just have missed it though, because I was quite busy at work yesterday. There was so much to do, I even had to work a bit overtime.

“I can’t remember anyone telling me that…” I trailed off as I suddenly remembered Zayn shortly mentioning song writing in the kitchen last night, but I couldn’t quite remember what exactly he had been saying. I had been in a kind of a daze when he started talking, and I had barely registered that he had entered the kitchen.

Niall had been out of the kitchen before I even realised what was happening, so I would put the blame on him. He had after all acted as if he was about to kiss me, and then just left me standing there when I assume he discovered that Zayn was on his way into the kitchen.

“I’m pretty sure I told you.” Zayn said, right before my gaze locked with his, and he tilted his head slightly, seeming a bit unsure of whether he mentioned it or not.

“Yeah, I think you did…”  I told him and then shook my head slightly in an attempt to clear my head. “…in the kitchen.” I added as I started walking towards them, and glanced quickly at Niall who looked like he realised something as his mouth went into the shape of an ‘o’ before his eyes met mine and it turned into a smile instead.

The boys continued their walking towards their office when I caught up with them, and we walked there in silence. I thought the silence was a bit unusual, but it was usually Harry and Louis who kept a conversation going, and I assumed that was the reason for the silence since Harry seemed to be in deep thought.

“Whose idea was this?” I asked them when I had found a spot on the couch and looked at the others as they got seated as well.

“Harry’s actually. He said he has something we can work with.” Louis explained, and then looked to Harry. I assumed Harry hadn’t told any of them what that something was, but with the plan for today being song writing I guessed he had written something.

“You sound pessimistic Louis…” Harry stated before he opened the small brown book he had been carrying with him all morning. I had seen it before, and every now and then you could witness Harry scribbling something down in it. To me it looked like a diary, but I knew it was more of a notebook to him.

“…and maybe you should be.”  He mumbled as he leafed through some pages and stopped when he reached the page he wanted to show us. We all stayed quiet, just waiting for Harry to explain further what he had.

“I’ve written a verse, a chorus and a pre-chorus thingy for a song, and in my opinion it seems okay, but then again I’m not a songwriter, so it might be shit.” After having said that he held the book out for us to take, and Zayn was the first one to reach out for it.
