The very next morning, I woke up to an empty apartment.

"Hm...that's strange." I muttered after getting fully dressed. Koro-sensei was no where in sight and when I tried his cell, I got sent to voicemail.

Shrugging my shoulders, I left my apartment with a piece of toast smothered in creamy butter. Since Koro-sensei usually woke me up every morning, I never bothered to set an alarm. So when I arose from my slumber, it was nearly 45 minutes before school would start.

Plugging in my headphones, I jumped out of the living room window and almost landed in a group of rather angry cats. Letting out wild and mild hisses, I shooed all the strays away before exiting the dead end allyway.

The way to school was spent in a daze after I picked up my morning coffee at Starbucks and walked down the chilly streets of Tokyo.

In the middle of my absolute favorite song, however, my phone suddenly let out a loud 'ding!'.

I plucked the straw out of my mouth before sliding my finger across my homeroom screen.

Karma: Cancel any plans you may have. We're going out together after school.

I scrunched up my nose at his rather bold statement. Tapping on the screen a few times, I entered my response.

Me: This better be a good night then. I had very important shit work to do.

Note the rather annoyed feeling that seemed to echo throughout the message. Only if he could see my glare from across the screens.

Not a moment later, he answered me.

Karma: Then I'll be your knight in shining armor and take you away from your duties, Cinderella.

While although I rolled my eyes a full 360, I couldn't help but let the burning sensation stain my cheeks.

Me: You're the furthest thing from a Prince Charming. More like the demon prince of the underworld.

Karma: I'll take that as a compliment.

Grinning like the big fool I was, I didn't pay attention to my surroundings and bumped my forehead into someones shoulder blade.

"A-ah! Sorry!" I quickly apologized before bowing slightly.

"No worries," the person quickly brushed me off. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

I let myself bend back into my usual position before my mouth flew open at the sight of the person in front of me. "T-Takebayashi-kun!" I slammered out. Takebayashi-kun and I never spoke since I arrived at the classroom. More or less, I never really noticed him.

His eyes widen slightly upon coming face-to-face with me. "(Y-Y/N)-san..." He slurred as well, directing his eyes somewhere way above my head. "I didn't expect to see you here...."

Suddenly, I couldn't help but feel this weight on my shoulders upon seeing my former classmate. His body was right here in front of me but his eyes...they seemed so far. So far from what was going on and I could see the growing bags under his eyes.

"I-I'll see you around." He muttered walking past me and heading towards the open front doors of the main campus.

I turned, following his every movement. While although he made confident movements upon passing me, his shoulders slumped slightly as if he was defeated in a heated battle.

And before I knew what I was doing, his name flew out of my mouth. He turned, half way to the door. His thin eyebrows, raised slightly at me, telling me to continue before he leaves.
