The wind whipped harshly against my exposed skin, making goose bumps appear up and down my arms.
The sun was setting somewhere off in the background. A swirl of yellow and pink tainted itself into the sky, making a shadow cast onto the concrete floor.
I gripped the thin metal bar of the vehicle I was currently riding. If you consider a shopping cart a vehicle.
Tears ran down my cheeks as my body jerked to the side roughly. "MAKE IT STOP!" I shouted as I barrowled down the streets, making nearby civilians dive for safety.
How did I end up rolling all the way down main street in a shopping cart? Well let me take you back to this morning.
~7:45, Monday morning~
"Koro-sensei, we need to get going." I nudged the sulking creature in the corner of the room.
Sniffling, Koro-sensei didn't dare to look at me as I sighed. "...how can sensei face you?" He muttered. "SENSEI GOT UP LATE SO HE COULDN'T MAKE YOU A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST!"
I deadpanned at the yellow octopus with another sigh. "It's not that big of a deal. But you know what's a big deal? Showing up late to school. Let's go." I grabbed the back of his collar and tried to pull him towards the front door. But before I could even take a step, Koro-sensei wrapped his tentacles around one of the exposed water pipes in the room and held on.
"Let go!" I shouted, pulling harder on his collar.
"No!" He yelled back childish, making me look irritated at the creature.
"Sensei, it's not that big of a deal! I'm not hungry anyways! School is starting so move it!" With one last tug, I was able to pull him off and dragged him by the back of his shirt.
"SENSEI DOESN'T AGREE! LET SENSEI GO!"
"NO! WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE, GOD DAMNIT!" I yelled back, opening the front door all the while pulling the creature out as well. "Let's just get going! I already asked you not to make a big deal about it. Remember?"
He suddenly stopped resisting. I stared at his limp body sprawled across the hallway floor with a raised brow. "...yes." He muttered into the floor.
Grinning at my victory, I shoved my key into the lock and proceeded down the hallway with Koro-sensei who finally gotten over his tantrum.
Our walk to school grounds was nothing spectacular and was rather quiet. By the time the two of us hiked up the mountain it was nearly homeroom time. Koro-sensei and I split our paths- him going to the teachers lounge and I walked to the classroom.
"Good morning every-"
"(Y/N)-chaaan!" Suddenly one hand wrapped around my wrist and twisted my body away from the classroom door.
"K-Kaede-chan?!" I gasped out as the girl walked down the hallway back towards the main entrance. "Where are we going?"
She turned and smiled while holding up a peace sign. "We are skipping today~" she happily sung.
"Huh?" I muttered stupidly. "Koro-sensei will have our heads if we skip." Just imagining the yellow creature holding up our individual heads on sticks made me start sweating.
"Don't worry about it (Y/N)~" another voice sung. I turned to see Karma and a reluctant Nagisa-kun trailing behind us. "Koro-sensei won't say a thing~"
"While although I don't like skipping a whole school day," a voice suddenly spoke up in front of us, making my head turn. "But it's a special day, after all."
