____________________________________"So, what happened to Lexa being against this meeting?" Aleci asked, leaning against a tree. You kept your eyes forwards, searching the trees ahead.
"Lexa doesn't run my life. If I can initiate peace with ice nation, I'll initiate peace with ice nation." Aleci quieted, drumming his fingers against the tree trunk. He glanced back at the two guards, who stood beside the of the horses.
"We should leave." He suggested after a moment of thought. But you simply glared at him, turning your eyes back. You noticed movement, reaching for the sword fastened against your hip.
"Drop your weapons." A voice called out. A man dropped from his horse, followed by two other burly men. "We agreed, no weapons."
"Then why do you hold your own?" You arched your brow, arms crossing over your chest. The man slowly grabbed his sword, tossing it between the two groups, his men following.
"Kenz-"
"Quiet Aleci." You snapped, pulling your sword and doing the same. Aleci reluctantly followed, the guards slowly doing the same. "Now, what conditions has your queen requested?"
"Lower any and all blockades on the sky people, let us finally take care of them-"
"Out of the question." You stopped them. "Our only conditions are sky crew being apart of the 13 clans, and our commander stays as is in her position."
"You want peace, don't you?"
"Of course. Peace with everyone living on this planet." You stated with empathise.
"Even the scum of the earth, none of these things would have went down if it wasn't for them." You let out a low chuckle, aleci grabbing your shoulder to stop your remark, but you brushed him off.
"Really? I think it has something to do with your queen. The queen that wants everything under her thumb-"
"Do not disrespect the queen."
"If we aren't going to come to an agreement, then we are through here." You spoke, the man's jaw locking.
"Seems like we are." His eyes narrowed, before he threw his hand up, slowly clenching it into a fist. Your eyes widened, head snapping to the trees.
"Kenzie!" Aleci screamed, quickly grabbing your arm as an arrow was shot in your direction. Arrows began flying, archers now more apparent in the trees. He drug you towards the trees, but you felt a piercing pain shoot through your calf as you collapsed to the ground.
The two guards you had drug along had already fallen, mounds of arrows in their backs. Aleci pulled you up, aiding you to get onto your horse. You couldn't look back at the two fallen as you rode beside Aleci, arrows shooting behind you and into trees.
Your horses had finally slowed, your body slumped against the steed as blood seeped from beneath the arrow. You were met by guards in an instant, the last thing you saw was an upset and pissed off looking Lexa.

"You know those people are dangerous Kenzi." Lexa let out a low sigh, standing by your bed side. With a low sigh, you collapsed back into the pillows, leg stayed propped up. "Ice nation is the most ruthless-"
"Most ruthless of all. No mercy and especially no thought for the other clans. I know Lex, but I wanted to change that." You huffed, but Lexa still held a hard glare. Her arms crossed over her puffed up chest, her brows furrowed.
"You could have been killed. All that happened this time, before I saved you, was a hurt leg. Next time, it could be your life." Lexa spoke with the same strong voice she used to get to the night bloods. You noticed the tone, rolling your eyes as you leaned back.
"Then my previous commanders will lead the way." You muttered under your breath, Lexa rolling her eyes when she heard the quiet phrase. She used it time and time again, but couldn't stand it when you said the same. Her face held annoyance, anger even, but at the same time it was a shell of sadness.
"What do you expect me to do if you die. I can't- I couldnt-"
"You would lead your people, our people. Maybe I die, but everyone else will thrive because of you, Heda." You gently took her hands, leading her to sit beside of you. Hooking your fingers under her chin, your forced her eyes to meet yours. "But I'm not dead, Lex." You added, wiping the tears from her cheeks. Her face leaned into your hand, relaxing slightly as you kissed her forehead.
"I love you."
"Good, because you're stuck with me. And I probably won't be able to walk for a while, but that just means you'll have to carry me, and I'm okay with that." Your head tilted to the side, a small smile twitching the corners of her lips.
"Who said I would do such a thing?" She smirked, her mood shifting. You poked out your bottom lip, a small smile forming on Lexa's lips as she leaned in to kiss you. "From now on, stay by my side, would you?"
"Won't be a problem now, seeing as you'll have to carry me everywhere." You smirked.
