Tired eyes opened at the realization of the emptiness aside you. Hand running along the cool mattress, you let out a low sigh as you sat up, legs thrown over the side of the bed. Pulling on your boots, you already knew where to go to find the girl that had snuck away in the middle of the night.

And just as suspected, Octavia Blake stood beside Abby Griffin, watching over the victims of TonDC. The sky girl who cared for the grounders just as much, if not more than her own people. The sky girl who really didn't want to be the sky girl.

Drawing a low sigh, you crossed the room with eyes focused on the floor. "Any lost last night?"

"Almost, but I think we'll be okay."

"Then, why don't you come back to bed?"

"I think Abby-"

"She's right Octavia. When was the last time you slept?" Abby asked, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "You're no good around here if you're exhausted."

"Come on, love." You mumbled, holding your hand out for the girl. Her cheeks puffed out, but nevertheless she took your hand. Dragging her from the room, allowing her to send concerned glances to the people around, before leading her to your shared tent. "They'll be okay, O. They we're all stable, but Abby and Jackson are there just in case."

"I know, you're right. But I just can't believe they let it drop-" you hushed the girl with a simple stroke of the hair, hand gently placed on her cheek.

"Lay down Octavia. You've worried yourself sick, and now you need sleep." Tugging her boots off, the girl collapsed back, arms throwing open. A smile flashed on your lips as you laid down beside of her, pulling the blankets atop the both of you. Legs tangling together, her head laying against your chest as your arms wrapped around her. "Good night sweetheart."
