It could have been hours or days for all I knew but when I woke from my much needed nap I felt refreshed and migraine free. I was happy for that fact.

Someone knocked and I automatically said enter. I had a feeling it was Lydia and it was.

She was carrying a tray of drinks and before I knew what I was doing I had a goblet of wine in my hand nearly gulping it all down in one swig.

"You look absolutely radiant miss," she smiled and placed the tray on the tea table.

"Thank you Lydia." I took another drink. "Wow, I think I'm becoming an alcoholic," I joked. I sat the goblet back on the tray.

Lydia refilled it for me and I was tempted to drink more.

"I don't know what kind of wine this is but I love it, not to mention that I never feel tipsy if I drink more than one goblet full."

"The red wine is my favorite as well," Lydia smiled and moved about the room to find something to clean.

"Does it still taste good to you without the blood?" I was curious.

"I'm not sure," she gave me an odd look, "It's made specially enhanced with certain blood types before it comes to the castle." Lydia shrugged her shoulders. "Like that one I gave you is my favorite red wine type o negative. It has that perfect zing."

A cold chill washed over me. "But my wine was ordered without the blood right?" I knew she didn't know I was human but there had to be some vampires that wanted plain wine, right?

Lydia gave me strange and very confused look before answering, "Well, no. Why would you want plain wine. It doesn't taste good." She had a disgusted look.

My stomach dropped, "You mean that there is blood in my wine right now?" I asked flabbergasted.

How was I not sickened by the fact I have been drinking wine with blood in it? I ignored Lydia asking me if I was alright and locked myself in the bathroom.

I ran the cold water and splashed my warm flushed skin. What does this mean? Why did I like the blood wine? I looked at my reflection in the ornate mirror and noticed miniscule changes in my features.

My eyes looked brighter, my skin looked more healthy and my hair color was more vibrant. Lydia was right, I looked radiant. Was I turning into a vampire?

I felt my heart flutter when a thought slammed in my mind. Did they give me vampire blood to heal me after being tortured? Was that why I didn't have a broken arm when I woke up? Oh no, what did they do to me?

A hard knock rapt on the bathroom door followed by a concerned voice, "Kenzie, are you all right? Lydia says you have been in there for an hour and haven't answered her repeated knocking."
