Glass exploded and air whooshed in followed by a heavy thud. I instantly shielded Azereen before any of the guards had time to. A hiss escaped from me as I scanned for danger and the guards swarmed around us in a protective circle.

"Take Azereen," I ordered my second best guard. He moved into the protective circle to stay with her. Thankfully she knew the drill and was being a brave little trooper.

"Where is Blaine," I began to walk forward cautiously but, ready for an attack.

Another guard approached from the front of the store where the explosion originated. "Blaine was the only one attacked, your Majesty, and is fine. We need to get you back to the castle."

"Very well but where is Kenzie?" I asked while I picked up Azereen into my arms and held her close to me.

"She is already in route to the castle," the previous guard announced, his eyes scanning the area as well, being ever vigilant.

I nodded and followed the guards as they evacuated Azereen and I. After loading into an SUV, Blaine jumped in next to us. He looked disheveled and a little scattered. His clothes were dusty and his hair was out of place.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Report."

He nodded in return, "My Lord, I think I should handle my report in a more," he looked to the front with the driver and passenger before continuing, "secure setting."

I nodded in understanding. I didn't use my telepathy powers often cause it's best to not let other vampires know what you have in case you need that for leverage but with Blaine, it at least came easily. He is one of the few who even know and right now he is hinting that's what we need to use.

[Alright Blaine, what happened.] I mind linked him and still couldn't keep the angry tone from seeping through.

[It was Kenzie, Mitchell,] he began but then I interrupted him in surprise.

[What? She attacked you?] My eyes grew wide in speculation. I was confused and angry.

Blaine shook his head but then remembered about the guards in the front. He looked to make sure no one saw him and being some what satisfied he continued, [No, I accidentally scared her. I'm so sorry Mitchell, I thought she knew I was behind her but then she turned around and the next second I'm flying through the air and through the door,] he rattled off quickly.

I patted his shoulder quickly before anyone saw, [No-it's ok Blaine. It's not your fault and,]

"Lord Drayven," came the guard driving, interrupting my private conversation with Blaine.

I looked to the front but instantly my eyes found a disturbing scene past the windshield. "What is that?"

Blaine turned to look what caught my attention and when he saw the SUV upside down in the middle of the road with the doors wide open and all the windows blown out, he cursed out loud and sped out of our SUV before I knew what was happening.
