                “So I assume your mother has told you this week will be our last session together,” Dr. James said as she sat before me. This time without her signature legal pad and black ink pen in her hands.

                I nodded, “Yeah. Apparently, you’ve written me off as sane.”

                Dr. James laughed though I wasn’t completely sure why. I hadn’t said anything funny.

                “You’ve always been sane, Aspen.” She told me. “You just lost your way and I’ve seen progress in you. You’ve grown and branched out. I believe you are stronger than you think yourself to be, Aspen.”
