Snow's POV

The large lobby area I walked into was dimly lit and I could smell the stench of rotting wood. My eyes quickly adjusted to the dim light, so I could just about make out the outline of objects. I found my way through the maze, and walked up the stairs. Everything seemed quite, the only sound to be heard from the creaking of the floorboards under my feet. Most of the rooms were boarded up, so I would have to get the others to help take the boards down before I could look inside them, but a door at the end of the corridor stood open slightly, as if someone had rushed out of it only moments before. Creeping towards it, I stayed as silent as possible, peering around the door into the room, I saw nothing but a old moth eaten bed and some side drawers. I searched through them, looking for any signs that someone had been here, or if they had left anything behind.

Before we arrived, we were given instructions on what to do and how to get here. It was to my knowledge that the last owner of the lodge had mysteriously vanished, leaving all their belongings and furniture behind. After that, the lodge slowly started to wear away, no one wanted to buy it after the 'disappearance' and the recent wolf sightings didn't help.

I looked around the entire room, but was rewarded with nothing but disappointment. I checked over everything a second time, reaching my hand deep so I could feel around in the back of the drawers, which were old and only opened to a certain distance. My hand rapped around an object. It felt of a smooth material, maybe a sort of thin ribbon, and when I lifted it, the weight of the opposite end, which I had not been grasping, sharply increased. I dragged it out into view and shone the torch of my phone on it. It was some sort of necklace.
