Death isnt an option!

As my eyes reopened once more, I could feel my skin start to regain feeling. I was wearing little clothes and what I was wearing consisted of shorts and a thin T-shirt.

I shifted my weight slightly, too worn out to get up. The magic had drained all my energy. Suddenly instead of the soft snow, I felt myself being dragged to my feet. It took a while for my vision to focus but when it did, I could see Aaron standing in in front of me, lifting me up. "Come on Snow! You saved me and I'm not letting you give up!"

It was too much effort to hold my head up, so I dropped it down slightly. That's when a saw it. Aaron's t-shirt had a massive slit through the centre and his chest was covered in blood. My eyes started to drift closed, but Aaron was determined to keep me awake. "Stay awake Snow! I'm going to get you to the lodge as quick as possible!"

Without another moment of hesitation, he turned and ran as quickly as he could back to the lodge. For as much pain as he must have Ben in, he managed to carry my weight and run pretty fast. I felt the leaves from the branches of the winter trees whip my fast as we passed by them.

Before I knew it we must have gotten to the lodge because I felt Aaron suddenly jolt to a stop. He leaned forward slightly and kicked open the door. As he carried me inside, my face was flushed with a sudden warmth which made my skin tingle. I felt his arms being released from about me and my frozen skin touch a soft fabric as it regained feeling. A soft hand swept across my forehead before voices broke out.

"Aaron! What happened! I-i thought you were dead..." I could hear that was Misteria, her middle tone of voice was shaking and unsure. She sounded to be a rather far distance from me. Aaron cut in to answer her question quickly. "Snow saved me... but I'm afraid she can't wake up. Her magic allowed her to take little to no fall damage but... she lost a lot of energy and heat from lying in the cold."

Kim's voice sounded from right in front of me, but I couldn't move or open my eyes. "Guys stop worrying, snow is fine. She is conscious but weak. Misty get her a blanket and a jacket please, she is freezing." And with that footsteps hurried away.

The floorboards creaked as Kim got to her feet. "Garroth you stay with her... I need to speak with Aaron..."

Before they left, I felt a ribbon and hard metal object being placed into my hand, and then my fingers being curled shut. "Thank you" Aaron whispered, "thank you for saving me Snow." And then he was gone.

I lay there for a while, the silence creeping over me like fog. I still couldn't believe I had save Aaron... until now I had no idea how to use magic or if I even had any, but then everything just flooded into me, like it was natural.

As these thoughts drifted into my mind, my body lost tension and I could feel my eyes getting heavier even though they were closed. As peace finally washed over me for the first time since arriving at the lodge, I slept soundlessly.
