Truths Desire ~ Emerald Lodge (Aphmau fanfic with inserted characters)

*Snows POV*

We raced back down to the flat ground but when we got there, they had gone. I scented the air but Aaron got there quickly. "They split up!" I growled and looked into the trees. As I was just about to speak Lucinda hurried over to us. Once she had reached us, she placed 3 potions onto the ground. "Aaron hold up! You need these before you can do anything." She pointed to each of the different potions. "The blue potion removes the effects of the forever potion from Zane... while the other two are for Aphmau... the green removes the effects which make Aphmau love Ein... while the red potion removes the hate. To be complete they need... an emerald."

I looked down and dove my hand into my own pocket. My hand felt the sharp edge of the finely cut emerald. As I pulled it out, I saw Garroth also had hold of an emerald. Lucinda sighed.

"We have 2 emeralds... but three potions... what are we going to do...?" I passed the emerald to Aaron and stepped back. "It's your choice Aaron. Which one are you going to pick?" I linked my arm with Garroth's. He held out the emerald but I pushed it back. "Snow stop. Aaron needs this emerald to help Aphmau." I rolled my eyes and took the emerald out of his hands. Without hesitation I put it into the potion which was made for Zane. I looked up at Aaron and sighed. "I'm sorry Aaron but I couldn't just stand here and watch Garroth lose his brother. You and Aphmau have such a close bond, I know you can save her!" Aaron shook his head and gave me a halfhearted smile. "Don't apologise Snow, i was going to do the same thing. Zane is your brother Garroth, I wasn't going to take that away from you."

I picked up the remaining two potions and held them in my hands. "What are you going to do...?" Aaron looked down at the emerald, thinking hard. "If I remove the hate potion then a can at least talk to her, but she will still be in love with someone she never chose to give her love to, however I could remove the potion of love and then she could love who she chose to." Lucinda butted in. "But Aaron, she would still hate you!"

I could see the pain flooding over him as he made up his mind. "But at least then she would be free and she could still talk with you guys. Just promise me you will take care of her."

Without another word, Aaron took the green potion from my hands and mixed the emerald. The potion to effect and was ready. I felt so helpless just standing there while he did everything. There was nothing I could do to make it any better. Aaron turned back to the forest and pointed to different ways. "Zane went that way." He said pointing to a thinner patch of trees. "Ein and Ryan went that way. And they took Aphmau with them! You guys go after Zane. I'm going to get Aphmau back."

Without another word he raced off into the trees. He was gone within seconds. Lucinda turned to us and nodded. "I'm going with Aaron!" I jumped forward and stood beside her. "I'm coming to! I need to face Ryan once and for all. Garroth, Kim, don't forget the forever potion of Zane is close to becoming permanent, you will have to hurry! Stay safe you guys." I wrapped my arms around Garroth before following Lucinda into the trees.

As we caught up to Aaron, we saw him leaning against a tree. The stench of blood was strong and I could tell it was coming from Aaron. Lucinda only had to touch his back lightly to get her hand covered in blood. She looked worried. "Aaron... bleeding..." he shook his head and raced on.

As me and Lucinda ran to catch up with Aaron, I noticed how quiet the forest was. The wasn't a sound to be heard except our own footsteps as they sunk into the snow. But I could tell even Lucinda heard the snarls when they neared.

Within seconds of the snarling, we were surrounded. The snarling wolves advanced on us and there was no way to escape. That's when I heard the evil laughing from Ryan and Ein.

As they approached I could see that Ryan was dragging the small children that I had met earlier. Ein has Aphmau at his side.

With a sly smile, Ein spoke. "So, you lived... both of you... shame..." I could feel my anger building. That's one thing I hate, getting worked up easily. I was so focused on Ein that I did notice Ryan until he was right behind me.

With a sudden jolt, I was forced onto my knees. Ryan held my hands behind my back and yanked my hair to make me look up at Aaron. Ein grinned. "Now, if you ever want to see Aphmau again, turn this werewolf into a human! I want to see it with my own eyes!" Aaron refused straight away but I stopped him before he could speak. "Just do it Aaron! Aphmau matters more than me being a werewolf or a human. Just do what he says... please."

Before my mind could register what was happening, I felt my sight being draw towards Aaron's now exposed eyes. A pain drifted over my body which I had never experienced. My limbs went weak and I fell forward, my ears and tail gone. As I struggled to push myself up, I felt stronger than ever.
